My mate Lynsey in his mustang was cut up , but ok , my boss was shocked but ok too , the nuckle dragging tourist in the Toyota at fault was in shock but ok too.
but we stayed way away from him or he was going to get hurt bad by Lynsey !
and I don’t blame him ! The guy was clearly in the wrong.

Lynsey and his wife had  rebuilt the car over the last 10 years and was all set for beach hop next week !!! He was gutted

Makes me sick to my stomach to see that. Glad everyone is ok. I would be in jail...

The important thing is everyone is alive and not seriously hurt. Sorry about your mate and his Mustang. It's a gut punch for sure. I hope the bloke that did this gets some serious jail time. Were drugs or alcohol a factor in this accident that you know of?

Road rash, even from the grass, are badges of honor for the Camaro and give you a story to tell to your mates. Paint can be fixed too.

Gladi you are okay mate!

1st hoping nobody was hurt????

2nd everything OK under the Camaro, after off roading?  Exhaust, front spoiler ect??

So glad you N the Boss got lucky on that one.

Is the Mustang a total loss (do we know yet)? While it looks bad now, not sure how much is justa sheet metal damage versus other damage to the suspension and such.

Thanks Guys, i woke this morning not feeling flash, blood presures through the roof, so i am going to justA take it easy today.

JustA, my mate Lynsey was driving the mustang his door copped the lot of the toyota, and he had a lot of cuts and some skin missing, he will be feeling sore today i bet, i will check on him a little later today...

the camaro is going on the hoist as soon as i feel up to it to see whats happened underside

the boss has a nice big bruise on her leg where she has hit something in the car, not sure what yet

Frosty, your dead right, the paint chips are badges of honor, i may very well leave it alone !

the mustang is a unknown yet mate, i recon its fixable but there is some very odd dents in the oposite side behind the door pillar, where it looks like the diff has moved sideways. or possibly the whole frame!

i justA hope its fixable for my mates sake.

the tourist... i know he is ok, but last night there was a few of us that wanted to deport him to heaven !!!!

cops said he will be charged with dangerous driving and get a fine, thats it !!! ( i have a very strong opoinion on that !!!)

Holy shit. Glad you're still with us. That poor Mustang owner - please tell us he has insurance. Is it repairable do you think? Looks pretty bad. I thought the drivers around here were hopeless..

Whoops- just saw the rest of the story. Friggin' tourists... okay, we've all been tourists but does that mean we leave our brains at home whilst we drive like we're possessed in a different country on unfamiliar roads??? I managed to drive a Corolla AND a Prius (easy guys..) around your wonderful country and never once came close to rolling either car. The cockheads are amongst us and their numbers are increasing. Want proof - have a (brief) look at TikTok.

I drive my 64 Bonney alot and get so pissed at people pulling up next to me taking pictures, yelling what year ect. all the time they're inching closer to the center line and my lane.

Glad you're okay! Wow scary! Lucky a few paint chips (maybe some new upholstery) vs the whole side of your car... Been there, not as bad or good of story but stressful and costly. Hope your buddy is okay at least physically... I know that damage is heartbreaking.

Ya know, it can happen in your own garage.  We have all seen the lifts fail.  Gotta hope your not under that if it happens. Enjoy em like its the last time you'll drive em.  :driving:

Words can’t express my empathy for you & your friend! I have been there & it’s horrible!

remember I’ve shown this one before! Accidents happen, but that’s not an accident. That’s a moron that shouldn’t have a license.

Well, all the parts for the Bonneville have arrived from Butler. I must say their delivery has been fast - both shipments (ordered separately) came in 9 days! I've had Australian deliveries take a lot longer...

The heads are with the machinists, so I guess I'm just waiting on them now🤞 At least I got to see the car today, when I dropped the new rocker gear to the mechanic.

I've also ordered a 71 º (160 º) Mr Gasket High Flow thermostat, which should assist in keeping its cool.

The new headliner from SMS hasn't left the States yet - apparently they're hoping to have it ready by end of this week. I did have someone arranged to install it, but I may just have a read of @64 kiwi boni thread & see if I can manage it myself.

I have a dual circuit master cylinder waiting with my brake guy, who will fit it up with the necessary proportioning valve and piping. That way we'll have a bit of redundancy in the system in case something goes wrong. Don't like my chances of pulling the Beast up with the park brake, to be fair 😬
