Sorry bro, I thought you needed the vehicles.

The brackets I used came from eBay, a place called Toms Classics. The part numbers he gave me I did an internet search for a couple years ago when I was collecting parts and I couldn't find anything. Not sure if he has them made for him or it's  justa HIS part numbers. But I ended up buying the brackets and rotors from him. I checked to see if he is still selling on eBay and he is in case you wanted to reach out to him. His part numbers were:

6164P and 6164P2 for the rear brackets x2

5964P for the front brackets x2

5977-5 for the rotors x2 (5x5 pattern)

5524 hub assy x2

front & rear calipers were Car Quest brand from Advanced Auto (local parts house)

Parking brake connectors Dorman 21123 x2 packs

universal parking brake cable Dorman

Brake hose's Car Quest brand

Brake lines EZ-Fit 40' roll

Master Cylinder was eBay, I don't remember who and can't find the receipt. It's been long enough that it's not in my purchase history anymore. But I will keep looking if you need me to bro.

Brake pads are Car Quest Premium Gold

I hope this is what you needed bro. If not let me know.

i have been flat stick and this is my real first moment to get my head around the componants you have used, so far autocity who sell the Toms classic have been pretty slack! i emailed them asking for a completed kit for front and rear, they came back to me with a very short email stating $1150 and are we shipping to nz ... i replied twice this last week, and no reply !

so ! i eamiled master power brakes and got a very nice email back with what they can do . down side is its over $3700nzd !!!

yes fitzy , disc / disc combo with universal park brake cable kit ...

my qestion  wrongway is this ... i have access the rock auto, and none of thes parts look custom made short of the brackets...

if i wanted to come up with my own combo based on what you have done, what are your front and rear calipers ? rivera ? because they are like $25 nzd on rock auto

discs ? what are your front and rear ?

hoses and fittings i can get locally

and all i really need is the backets so it all bolts up !

master cylinders are easy... rock auto with a rebuild booster, like i did with the 64

It was always my understanding, you could take a late 90's S10 pickup rear disc setup and would fit anything GM??? Something to check out.

  • Popular Post

S10 Blazers and S15 Jimmys had rear disc brake differentials too. I owned 4 of them over the years.

The wheel-to-wheel distance on an S10 rear axle seems to me to be too short / too narrow for a big B-body such as a Bonneville.  But what do I know????

Its saturday !! and its prep and paint time ... suns out  !!! IMG_6338.thumb.jpeg.8703c41539cb41d5914b76cef56fe37e.jpeg

i found the frame number which is so cool ! when i did the 64 bonni frame back a couple or 5 years ago i could not find a single stamping ... looks like i have myself a paris ho

IMG_6337.jpeg

After i stopped laughing about the stamping ! i got to and wire wheeled the whole frame , all the hard spots got sand blasted with my toy sand blaster, and a bucket of garnet , which was a good test for my new 16cfm compressor

last frame i justA sent it to a sand blasting co and handed over a $1000 .

this time i got down and dirty and i recon its going to cost me about $300 for paint and blast materials ......

IMG_6341.jpeg

i got the whole frame clean and a coat of crc rust converter on , it kills rust and drys to a hard black  primer that is perfect for a enamal chassis black paint

IMG_6342.jpeg

the crc rust converter is a weird spray on water based treatment that leaves a plumb crazy / black finish

While I must admit I find Paris ho funny as hell, that is not it.

I believe what you are seeing is PARISH and either the “at” or copyright symbol. Your frame was made by a GM vendor named Parish Pressed Steel Company. They made frames for many GM lines back in the day. They were located in Reading Pennsylvania. They made US soldier’s M1 helmets for WWII as well.

The frame was made on 12/18/1962 on first shift.

Remove setup and the brackets,  Bolt on the disk brakes from the S10 to your set up.

Hey bro, yes, the front and rear calipers were standard from a 1979 Buick Riviera. The rotors I got from Tom's because I ordered the hub assy from them. But the Rivi rotors will work. As you said there is NOTHING special about any of the parts except the brackets.

Your frame looks amazing bro!

Kiwi - do you plan on boxing or reinforcing the rear upper and lower control arms before you paint them and install new bushings? This will strengthen those control arms.

It's been a few years since I was collecting parts and dealing with them.  But all of my communication was sending messages through eBay and it took them 3-4 days to get back to me anytime I had a question.

Well, It sure turned out great bro. Looks brand new from here!

mate, those Riviera discs are the 5on 5 ?

I didn't look at that Kiwi, my apologies bro. Mine are 5x5 on the GP. I ordered those from Tom with the hub assy. Mine have the dual bolt pattern for on rear 5x4.75 (I believe) and 5x5 and what came on the assy on front. But it looks like that Rivi is 5x4.75. The Cadilac Seville does have the 5x5 bolt pattern and according to that list should work bro.

Not sure if it's important or not, but my front rotors are 11" and the rear are 11.5". Not sure why that is but that's what he sold me bro.
