More on the center caps for the spinners. Found a friend with a 3D printer and some ideas. Prototype done. I think it’s looking good, technology meets vintage!

Looks good Bonnzo, great use of a 3D printer bro!

I smell bullshit. I have owned my Pontiac for almost 3 years and not once has anyone offered to drop their knickers. Disappointed.

Got my replacement RUBBER valve cover plug.  The original broke when I was putting the engine together to go in the car. Made a temp plug, but it leaked, ordered a few online that were wrong.  Got one at local parts store that was plastic.  In the heat of the Dream Cruise it warped and fell out, making a large mess.  New one fits perfect!  Also hooked up the battery, but never got around to firing the GTO for the 1st time this spring.

Well I changed the oil/filter on the 64, and then put in a driver side bucket seat that I had upholstered a year ago, that didn't turn out so good ! I'm waiting on another set that are at another upholstery shop that has done great work for me in the past! Hoping they will be done soon!! Drove the car around the block and everything ran great! Have to get car to my mechanic to put in new pass side ball joints, adjust coil-overs, and new front tires and then alignment! When new seats come then I'll install those and take car back to have floor mount shifter linkage hooked up, adjusted, and new floor shift steering column installed !! Just a few simple things !!🤑

I took the Roadmonster into my local MAACO (body/paint shop). They are going to do rust removal and repair in the rockers, doors, and rear fenders. They are also going to the necessary paint repair since I backed it into a chain link fence 2 years ago and scratch the hell out of the trunk lid and rear bumper. It should be back in the next 7-10 business days.

While I was there, I had them look over Black Beauty to finish painting the rear deck lid, mount and paint the new rear spoiler, and clean up the car all the way around with touch ups, dent removal, etc. I should get that estimate later today.

At this point, I'm not sure which car I will go the Dust Off in just yet. As soon as the Dust Off is over, I will be heading that night for Atlanta and the start of Hot Rod Power Tour.

Keep up the great work guys/gals. If anyone is working on a mid sixties trans kick down switch I solved replacing mine the other day. Honeywell whisker switch using the original bracket flipped around. For some reason it’s even the right Color👍3B819C70-CC4B-4F47-8186-DF3FFCC076D4.thumb.jpeg.357f75e7dc944b270ce62cc76a3ba990.jpeg

Nice fix!!   Shifts properly?   Color match is cool too. :dancingpontiac:

Fired the GTO N pulled er out into the light.  Wiped it all down N back to red.  Then a UPS truck blasted by N covered everything in dust.   Swept the leaves out from last fall N pulled the dirty thing back in and continued the yardwork.

Yes the whisker spring accepted a 8/32 bolt bent just right with a vertically adjustable bubbler nub on the end. The throttle body arm  hits it on the nose and action occurs.  A new NOS switch or similar is best but I run this rig on its reputation and not money. 🍺

Put away the snowblower soon after ,,,

I just got the Roadmonster out of the shop last week before I left for Hilton Head Island with the boss. I had rust repaired, scratches in the rear end were cleaned up, plus a rusted piece from the driver's rear quarter was repaired. It's in the garage mahal, letting the paint cure some more before she goes out on Power Tour in a few weeks.

I also took Black Beauty in to repair the rear decklid, mount the new aerowing spoiler and paint it, and get all the dents, scratches, etc. out of it. The shop called me on Friday letting me know that I would have to replace some of the decals. I told them to source the decals from Phoenix Graphics. So she will look fresh too after I get home.

Next thing is to work in Lucy.

Well I decided to change the interior in my 64 Bonney! I'm going from bench seat to buckets! It started a year ago with a costly choice by me to give a new kid a chance to cover my buckets! and well he screwed one up and we parted company! Tried to work with him and explain do a good job and you'll have more work than you can handle! Lesson learned!! Was able to send back the one bucket that wasn't touched to Speedway Motors with No Hassel ! They were great and I highly recommend! So now I'm starting with Chrysler buckets that recline I drive the Hell out of this car and wanted some comfort and adjustability! I bought some "B" body bucket seat brackets off EBay out of Arizona and cleaned them up and don't you know the out side brackets bolted into the original Bench seat mounting holes !! Only had to drill for the inside tracks! I cut down the backs by 1 1/2" so that the top of seats would be even with the windows like the bench! I chose a 67-69 firebird center console and modified it to fit a GM Horseshoe shifter. I used carbon fiber material on my dash in place of the woodgrain (sorry but I don't like woodgrain in cars) I carried that onto my console with a carbon fiber wrap. I added a tach to the console and added blue led lights to match the dashboard and radio colors!                The seats are now at the Upholsterer's that I should have taken to in the first place. Here are some pics!

Couple days ago the wife said there was a bird trying to get out the garage window, bangin N crashin into the glass.  Walked in, snatched it in one grab and threw it out in the yard.  Tonight I had to walk threw the garage with the lights on and couldn't miss the 12in, 1/4in deep pile of birdshit, hardened to cement like consistency,  in the middle of the GTO trunklid.  Also found flyby hits on the Sunbird.  Took me 1hr 1/2 to soak N soften the mess to get it off and polish the remaining mess off.  This is for the birds.....
