What did you do to your Car today?

Damn I hate working on my daily drivers. I have been suspecting that my parking brake is sticking on the Vibe. Okay I know it has and my last tank of fuel averaged out to be 24 mpg. So it is on jack stands just waiting on all three cables. What the hell if you gotta replace one might as well replace them all.

So I have to daily drive the truck for a week. But she is sounding good lately.

Stripped one of the wheels on the formula getting ready to sand, polish and repaint the slats. Not looking forward to the project but it must be done!

Spent hours on my back cleaning the bright work under the Sunbird. Never even got to the exhaust yet. UGH

I laughed as I pulled away on the bike... Got to ride it all week with this nice weather!

New display/signage built today. Had hoped to get the Pontiac logo on my new popup canopy. (that's not gonna happen this week) Then 8hrs of hand polishing under the hood.... I'll NEVER let the aluminum get that bad again! Exterior of both cars tomorrow, finish up with interiors. Still have to put my new signs together before the show Monday as well. Weather had better be NICE Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have not heard back from the Frosted one, guess he's not going. IndyJoe's been quiet lately as well.??? Maybe hit the Comeback Inn Tues night?? Is everyone going to Golling? Notallthere, are you making the trip?

Whew!... I need to rest after reading this, lol! :stars:

Here's how it goes with me...

Detailing is fun for about the first hour and a half, then it starts to becomes some sort of great quest, then you're taking more breaks, then you're like "well nobody's going to look there", then you notice your arm is moving but you're not sure how because there is no feeling left, then you say to yourself "well... I'll get up extra special early tomorrow before I leave for the show and finish up then"...

:PICS: of these finely detailed Pontiacs when you're done!

Well said Stratman! I have no idea how my arms/fingers are still moving. The only chrome on my V6 is the valve covers, everything else has been polished, touchup repainting on linkage/bolts, and exhaust on both cars.(using Eastwood brush on this time) The engine compartment is all aluminum too. Rained all last night, RAIN all Day and sayin now STORM's for tomorrow as well. WTH?? Can't imagine getting all this wet N starting over. If my roads are all MUDD in the AM, Don't yet know what I'll do.

Quick teaser of my new display. Using my old Pontiac DR and Excitement Ave streetcorner sign from my indoor display. Welded up a new base. Made a cap for the top of the signs to hold in place for wind. Added some of my old wooded arrows. Added leather tags, and sewing/ tying feathers, made a peacepipe (need to woodburn in 1926-Pontiac-2010 on the handle) and a dream catcher.

Probably not going to make it to Golling as this knee is slowing me down and I need to get stuff done.

WHAT?????? THERE IS BREAKFAST IN IT FOR US (usually)!!!! YOU CAN SPEND AN AWESOME DAY LOOKING AT CAR CHROME, ME AND JUSTA!

Umm, did I mention car chrome?

Taking a big chance on the weather, but HAD to drive my Bird. This was also the 1st time I've ever seen my GTO rollin on the road. They started the awards early and JUSTA made it home and got the cars put away before MAJOR storms rolled through. = Awesome day!

Yeah, we get that all the time... that's actually Black Betty's evil step sister of the North- Black Beulah. :willy_nilly:

Noticed that, but wasn't printed on the back of the calander.

Yup, realized that too. I'm a fool :( missed a great marketing opportunity!

Most wouldn't CUT UP their trophy calanders, but I have multipules. Wall hangers are proudly displayed on my trophy wall.

Justa... your Pontiacs are beautiful!

Nice location- perfect setup for your Pontiac zoo... er, warcamp! Looks like you were indeed in a tough class if your Sunbird and the Willys and '54 Ford didn't win anything!

Love your Pontiac totem pole! That is so different and unique from the usual show signage... I really like it!

Atleast I didn't rip it out auto crossing

Looked at the cars N smiled, then grabbed another can of gas for the boat. Have the whole summer to make up for in the next couple weeks.
