Now just a bit of info for future !!!

i hunted the web for better ideas for catching the f—ker

last night I bought extra traps for a total of 6

baited them all differently , no peanut butter at all ....

honey , pumpkin seeds wallnuts almonds tomato and it was the trap with crushed up almonds that got him !!!

So I learnt that one bait doesn’t suit all rats !!! For years I have been using peanut butter with great results !

This must be a new generation of rat that fancies Different nuts !!!

It’s a little like the roadrunner and coyote boys. We’re the coyote trying to catch the proverbial roadrunner.,so the sign over the bait pile of money should say “Free Campaign Funds”. No two legged rat can resist that bait. ..but ya gotta be quick!

Hey Kiwi, I was talking to my regular mechanic today (who is also a farmer) and we got to talking about rodent problems. He said that the stuff he uses for the farm is great. "They love it!" he said. He didn't tell me what the actual product was (he was called away) but I got to thinking about it and perhaps you should visit your local farm supplies shop and ask their recommendation - I'm sure they will help you out with something that is irresistible to rats. If you have pets, then obviously you gotta take care where you put these things.

This is not good news either....

Been seriously looking at a few SUVs since December of last year and prices kept fluctuating with available equipment and in general. Opted to bite the bullet and build a Blazer, because it's the only reasonable mid-sized SUV with a V6, to lock in the current price. Had to remove some "nice to have" options from the build because of the chip shortage but happy it's finally started the build process at the plant. They said maybe "August" but I just hope I get it before the end of the year the rate my luck has been going

Ouch & 👍! As ur finding out pretty much always more than one! Good job thinning the heard! Keep up the good work! Make sure when u get the bait box’s they’re the big ones. I’ve seen some pretty sturdy & heavy duty ones for out side that pets can’t get at also somewhat kid proof. My son has a service who puts them outside around his house to get them before getting into the house. Seems to work great.

Invasive species (no natural predators here) that multiply like crazy and poisonous by excretion on their body. Dogs love to chase them and attack them, kills them quick, unfortunately :’( . From down under, people brought them here for killing bugs on plantations. Didn’t work out lol.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cane_toad

It’s legal to kill them here as they run amuck.
