Tell me about it! When they put my knee back, literally, together from my football injury, there were some drugs! I was in so much pain after 6 hours of surgery, they would come in every 4 hours with morphine and it would be off to la la land!

Dat's good stuff!

Worst things I've had is Tylenol 3 (with codine in it) when I had my wisoom teeth removed. It made the bed spin when I laid down. Okay done with that.

When I was in the hospital 10 years ago in ICU, I asked for a sleep sedative. I have no idea what the hell they gave me but rest was the last thing my mind got. If you ever recall the old Microsoft "Pipes" screensaver you will get the analogy. My sleep/dream was something like that. Only I was "chasing squirrels" up and down thru trees, grass, fences, and yards. Good shit? Probably. Never had it again - for obvious reasons...

Yup! There’s some good shit out there; read that as bad for you! Only been in a hospital 3 times once for a month for pneumonia at 3, almost died, knee surgery at 17 and the car accident in the Z/28 at 26. Always been lucky or healthy depending on your viewpoint, since then!

Can you show me the listing? I can't seem to find it under Rock Auto.

Most "wide track axles" I know of are for trucks - which are wider than the standard axle. This allows for a narrow turning radius and a more stable ride - especially if you carry heavy loads or tow a lot.. You find these as options on duallys and high end 1-ton or higher pickups and some Jeep models mainly.

Hope you get it, I can only dream of a lift.

Copy that buddy no room at the inn! Still I’m pretty happy with pipe stand set up! Gives me 20 inches of clearance under the car which has always been enough get done what I need! And it’s carpeted where the Indian sits and petty well climate controlled year around!

Bit of an up date, the auction for the hoist closed with no bids, i called the guy and made him an offer and its all good to go,👍

explained how i am out of action and he was cool about it, so i will touch base with him next week and make a plan to get it.

its a 4 hour drive away and its too wide to fit straight on a trailer, so it will need to be either pulled apart or tipped on its side to get it narrow enough to be legal on the road, which i think will be the easy way, i can make a timber prop set up and then strap it down.

biggest trick is that, i can lift squat 😏

so then there is the plan once i get it home on how the heck to get it off the trailer and into the shed in position

certainly worth it as the brand new version of this lift is 11k

first things first i need to make dinner again for the boss, and build up my brownie points to get it, then let her know what i am buying!! hehehe👍

Almost any trip without the boss lady is bound to be a good trip....no supervision!!! Wahoo!

Palmerston north! reminds me of Omaha Nebraska. I bought a T-shirt when I was there in the 1980s, it said "Omaha Nebraka, Known Worldwisde for Absolutely Nothing".

Of course, Omaha's real claims to fame was (A) it was Henry Fonda's boyhood home town and (B) it is home to the College World Series, and (C)  it was home to the former U.S. Strategic Air Command HQ. This lead to another T-shirt with a mushroom cloud on it that read "Omaha Nebraska - Ground Zero USA!". Come to think of it, I have a sounvenir baseball from old Rosenblatt Staduim somewhere.

Enjoy the road trip. I agree with you - you only live once.

....and why do most men die before their wives? Because they WANT to.

Ahh! Omaha! Been there done that! Uncle Warren lives there! You know Buffett! Spent lots of time there, Council Bluffs Iowa and Lincoln Nebraska between “96” and 2003 on the railroad project for oil drain extensions that our team developed. Union Pacific Railroad’s headquarters is in Omaha. Talk about wide open spaces!
Side-note did you all know that Abraham Lincoln founded Union Pacific Railroad?
