    • I bought a 1969 428 4 bolt block and a set of 6X 8 heads with 1.77 exhaust valves and 7/16 studs. I plan to bore it and build a 455.  Got a new hood and shaker (functional scoop) a 1974 SD exhaust system and 2.5" HO exhaust manifolds. I plan to buy a forged crank, rods and pistons and use a roller cam. Looking at Butler parts. I probably don't need a forged crank but I like bullet proof parts. I raced my 64 GTO in the 70's and always worried about a broken rod. And now that I have the funds I am going to use all good parts. Also, I plan on a Strange 12 bolt. Thinking about a 4.10. It is just going to be a street toy but now that I have my 302 Chevy powered 944 that runs to 7200 RPM's I am liking higher RPMs. I just figure Maybe 6500 with the 455. We will see. It will be a bit before I really get into the project because I need to finish my shop. I need to insulate, drywall and install the mini-split A/C.
    • I received my touch up bottle of Plum Crazy Purple paint and my skip shift eliminator from SpeedLogix for Violet in the mail today. It should only take 5-10 minutes to unplug the sensor on top of the transmission, put the eliminator in between the plugs and zip tie it in place. I suspect I’ll send more time jacking up the car and putting jack stands under it than the actual install.
    • We’re all good here. Aged 20 years from stress but about the only damage. Got really lucky things went the way they did. Hope everyone else in Florida fared well!
    • As a society we seem to be more concerned about hurting certain group's collective feelings. Comedy, in my opinion, is to make satire of every day life and point out it's absurdities. There is too much political correctness and not enough "it's comedy - let it go" in this world.   RIngo mentioned he and the boss were riding it out. As I write this, Milton is about to exit the east side of Florida and head out to sea. He things he is far enough inland to avoid the storm surge. Biggest threat is downed power lines and falling trees according to him. Obviosuly we are thinking of him, Del. and all of our other  Florida-based FP friends, as this storm heads on out.   More from Professor Bundy.....
