I will look into them and I see that they are here in ca and free shipping.

I have gone through so many covers for mine, cheap ones but to justify a more expensive one they have to last more than 3 years and sitting in the sun here it just kills them.

The plan came together and the royal couple intruded upon the 2 Kiwis just after lunchtime whereupon we were separated and given individual tours of the place. We're catching up for dinner tonight and then it's hot thermal pools, beer & car racing tomorrow.

Kiwi very generously threw me the keys to his Bonnie and we took her for a quick squirt up the road. The first thing I did was turn the indicators on in an attempt to put it in R, but where was R??? Oh, there it is - at the END of the shift options, opposite P. Obvious when you think about it... She drove straight & true with a lovely soft ride and I was warned that the brakes are quite powerful - true that: they were excellent. Original stock untouched motor ran perfectly and we discussed at length the pitfalls of highly modifying a car that was never destined ro be a racer. The Bonnie was always going to be a cruiser and so it shall remain.

I was shown around a vast array of cars in various stages of degradation/restoration and we had a good old natter. Then we were given a tour of his hydroponic setup. Very professional and what a great idea. Everyone should be growing at least some veges, like they used to do in the old days.

All in all a thoroughly pleasant afternoon and I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't hanging out to catch up after a 2 year absence. I have tentatively offered to come over for a month and help tear the 389 down and have a look at the internals. Might be just a rings & bearings quickie, but it'll probably cost him more in beer & food than the rebuild is worth!

No purple tire haze and pic's of ROAD SIGNATURE???

Sorry JustA: we never got around to firing up Ol' Purple. Kiwi was so interested in the rental Corolla and begged me to take him for a quick spin that we did that instead. He'll be talking about it's mind bending acceleration for weeks.

So that's not exactly true but we did other stuff instead - like a vege garden inspection. It's one thing to be a redneck, but good veges are essential for all of us. And no, pickles on a cheeseburger don't really count.

On Sunday, the Royals went for a dip in their fave thermal pool complex. What an awesome luxury. I have decided to spare you all the sight of me dressed only in swimmers. Needless to say, I acted as an efficient Pretty Young Woman repellant. Even the old bags eyed me suspiciously. After that, met up with the Kiwi and his car mad mates and spent the next 7 hours or so with some beers, some barbecued snacks and the annual Bathurst 1000 race on the telly. A thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a Sunday.

In Whangamata next 2 nights. You may recall Kiwi posting pics of the Beach Hop. A really nice little place.

I just realised I've hijacked his thread and posted this in the wrong place - soz.

I noticed that you were not posting in your NZ trip thread. I assumed it was due to consuming mass quantities of beer, pizza, and vegamite with Kiwi. Or inhaling unburned hydrocarbons from that screaming demon of a  Corolla (OMG what the hell am I saying?). Or proving to the rest of the world that you don’t look good naked anymore.

Yes indeedly doodly, Frostarelli. Between going sideways in the Corolla, beers & burnt meat and me staying at least partially clothed we had a great time. For more rivetting posts, please resume reading my NZ Trip thread. I'll try and keep everything there as I'm supposed to.

this will be perfect for the 64, as it has the early water jacket shape, later model stuff has a round water jacket ... but frosty can you enlighten me ?

Part of the manifold deal was this pair of Edelbrocks …

Well...those 6 little holes will fit some nice flowers in them - garden ornament.

Oh - have fun endlessly tuning & fiddling with linkages for the 3 carbies. You can sell me your Edelbrock carb once you've done the conversion.

Guys, what my options with the tri carb manifold ?

That would be  3 2bbl Rochester carbs.  Here is everything Tri power....... Right down to the stickers.
