Nothing today ( it’s Christmas ),  but the last couple of weeks I made heat shields to reduce exhaust heat entering the interior.

Ken,

I did not add the shroud. Already on the car when I brought. I'm not sure if the 1960 Pontiacs came with the radiator shroud. I know that the finger guard is correct.

As far as I'm aware, neither the '60 or '61 came with shrouds. Not sure about the '62's?

Got the power windows and power vents in, installed a "new" rebuilt BW T-10 transmission, new Hurst shifter, new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing, installed new bucket seat rails, installed "new" rebuilt wiper motor, changed oil, new oil filter, new gas filter, new spark plugs and tune up...and the correct full size 1960 tri-power air cleaner.

...and before anybody comments on the shifter, yes...it is for a bench seat car (which this car was originally). I have seen 4 different 1960 Pontiac 4 speed bucket seat cars claiming to be original. They all had the "Corvette style, short T handle shifter with the 1960 Corvette trim plate (the one with the 4 speed pattern and ash tray on the floor). Would make sense since only a reported 722 car had the 4 speed starting late in July 1960. Some would have been special ordered for racing programs. Don't know exactly how many were released to the public with bucket seat and 4 speed.

Feels like I rebuilt the whole car...lol. Ahead of schedule for Spring Car shows...can't wait.

As for the radiator shroud mentioned earlier, I've seen a picture of it in a Pontiac manual, and if I remember right, it mentioned it was for air conditioned cars.

For your viewing pleasure, pictures attached.

Keep on Pontiacing.

Looks sooo good.  :indian:

Very nice 🤙

I purchased a quart bottle of Seafoam fuel injector cleaner and poured several ounces into each sleeping vehicle in the garage mahal. I will be getting an oil change on my Colorado this afternoon.

Have notification my new tires will be delivered today for my truck.  Hate to see a freight truck come back here on glare ICE roads.  Have some very large hills to navagate along with the ice. :pop_corn:

Got the oil changed in the Colorado. I had a 25% off coupon too. It was still almost $90.

Got my tires, they put em right in the back of my truck!! Saved them a bunch of messin around on ice. Don't know if they made it outta here OK.   So tomorrow I get em installed.  Hope the wifes Arcadia tires come tomorrow.  Get them installed at the same time and get a better deal.

Hay !

Where’s all the pictures of your snow mate ?
At least looking at it may make us form under guys feel cooler 😜

Tires mounted and balanced and installed on my truck.  Still waiting for the GMC tires.

Well I put new belts and lower radiator hose on the White Elephant ! and sprayed detailed the whole car! All before my Right Hip Replacement!! Now just sitting on my A$$ recovering, PT, walking and hoping to make Power Piston Show end of March!🤣😬

How is the hip replacement going Wayne? Justa is having a terrible time with his.

Any possibility on Frankenmuth with the hip situation? Or is it out of the question for this year?

Yes still looking at Frankenmuth should be fine by then. I've had my left one done 16 years ago w/ no problem and Rights been bothering me since June ! so it was time. Glad I had it done, but it will hold you up for 6-8 weeks !😒 How have you been?

Looking to hopefully retire this spring. I'd like to have the whole summer to play with four wheels toys for a change. Do more local weekday cruises. Maybe plan a long fall trip - perhaps through New England or Appalachia - for the fall colors.

Tires for the wifes Acadia finally showed up and I had em mounted balanced and installed yesterday.  Perfect timing after a new 4in of snow and 6-8 totals for this weekend on the way.  Driving me nuts, having the wife out shoveling, esp since the snowblower is ready to rock.  We still babysit every nite so MOM N DAD can visit our granddaughter still in the hospital.  Still having problems with bottle feeding but up to about 1/2 n 1/2 Bottle/feeding tube.  Hoping she comes home soon.

Back in 2002 I rebuilt the motor and made up this little work of art and it’s lasted 23 years !!!

IMG_5693.jpeg

Out with the old and in with the correct new !! With the correct ball mount too !!!

We have been sanding body filler on the frame for the past 3 days trying to get it ready for primer and paint.

IMG_9097.jpeg

Great work!

What is the final planned color(s) for the frame and body?
