When I bought the Camaro, similar experience to kiwi. Rang up insurance while finishing the paperwork at the stealership, they emailed me and the sales shark proof of insurance. All and all took about 5 min. at most.

Hear ya, they sent mine as we spoke on the phone.  Or I wouldn't have been able to drive the Sunbird to our Widetracker Dustoff show.

My son had me email him the proof of insurance this afternoon. He dropped the car off this evening. He’s coming by in the morning to finish the paperwork here at the house. I still have to write the check and get my new plate on the car and return the dealer plate.

I’m sure the AC works fine. Still no promises not to have water on the floor. I will probably pee my pants a few times when I get on it before I get use to driving it though!

Correct there is no spare tire. The battery and a tire pump are underneath where the spare should be. I suppose I should get a can of Fix-A-Flat and put it in there too. It has Alpine speakers, the build sheet doesn’t show any Harmon subwoofers,

Last Indian, I have mentally told GM to eff off when they let me go in 2012. I’ve been screwed over by GM as an employee, customer, and stockholder. I have no more loyalty or fucks to give them. Frankly, of all of retro muscle cars, Dodge did the best job,  styling-wise of the three. iMO. 

Hell yes you can have a ride!

I think I need to arrange a burn out contest, on Woodward, with Indyman Joe. I’m sure he’s up for it! Disturbing the Peace is his middle name!

Not yet. That’s probably why my head is still on my torso or my genitalia is still attached to my body. That could all change once I give her a ride! She’s already mad because it’s a stick. She can’t or won’t drive it.

Frosty, again I hope you know my tongue was planted firmly in my cheek! I get it 100%! I’ve been done with GM since they killed Pontiac. I started to wane when they killed Oldsmobile, Pontiac was the last straw & the move to put Barra in charge solidified it. 
I am old enough & capable enough to say I will never ever by another new car from any company! I will either keep what I have running or I will find a pristine used one & rebuild it to new! But it will be an American car! 🇺🇸

I’m just more than a tad bitter about how I’ve been treated over the decades by GM and I’m tired of the “it’s just business “ excuses. Yeah, it’s just business and after three generations working for them, you’ve pissed me off to the point of never wanting to buy a new GM product ever again. Like you, I will buy used. Eff GM at this point.
 

Killing Pontiac was a stab in the heart for me, but letting me go because I didn’t have GM’s best interest at heart because I wouldn’t treat vendors and people with condescending words and malice if they missed deadlines. I was not willing to become a draconian prick to vendors. People still need to be treated with respect and dignity even if they or their team fall to meet goals or deadlines. GM liked to be bullies when it came to vendors. For that I was shown the door. My dad put it in perspective when I called him on the way home afte being fired. He said “son this is NOT the GM either of us knew.” He was right, and after that I vowed to never be loyal to them again. My retirement would not be dependent on them either. I’ve done that, and that is why, in part, there is a Challenger and not a Camaro or Corvette in my driveway.

what GM did to my dad is another reason i drive a Toyota. The big three are a joke.

Yup! Copy every bit of that! You may remember I dealt with GM for many different projects over many years. They were something else, & Lubrizol was just as bad on the other side! Never ever would they push back against anyone! You know might lose business! Really?! 
Do us all a favor, go do a burnout in front of Barra’s office building. And make it say F U & the horse you rode in on!
