As a coordinator I was workin both sides of the coin as an hourly worker.  UAW pat on the back, way to make room for a younger guy!  GM....  atta boy enjoy your retirement.  So they promptly fcked me out of the $50,000 buyout virtually every other member across the US got.   That was my $$ to finish my cabin, $$ to build the retirement project GTO I had drug home. Claim was they didn't sign the contract until Oct and I went out the 1st Sept.  FCKIN UNION did nothing and would literally run away like fckin kids when I was walkin in the door.  I'm more pissed at the usless union.  The last new vehicle I bought was a FORD truck.  Have always had a Ford truck sittin next to my GM cars. GM put food and a roof over my head growing up with my Dad workin there and did the same for my family as they grew up, couldn't be more proud of what I built with GM over the years including JustaG6's G6.  My Sunbird was the 1st new car I bought...STILL IS.  The GTO is a tribute to my Dad and remembering the one he brought home new.  I do have a GMC for the wife to drive, but bought it used.  WILL NEVER BUY another NEW GM.  

All this said, I would still NEVER drive import anything.  Period....  Watched us get our ass handed to us with the Asian market and unfair trade practices.  How can this be happening?  Then China entered the picture,  Obama forcing GM to dump Pontiac as they wouldn't give up the new plants they were building in freakin CHINA.  He did force GM to build cars that were scheduled to be built in China here at the Orion plant where we proudly built the last PONTIAC.  HUGE hate for imports here.   I don't let Marsha's friend park in the driveway with her KIA.  Make vendors coming to the house park in the street as well.  Sorry Joe, I'm on dirt roads but drive your Pontiac if your stoppin by.

What’s this road rally thing ? 

The Back to the Bricks group, which is a competing car show with the Woodward Dream Cruise, has other car shows and events through out the calendar year. They've start hosting 2 road rallies a year - in July and September.

A road rally starts at a certain starting point but you don't know the destination. You are given turn by turn directions to get to the destination. The destination is often the surprise. Sometimes they add a scavenger hunt, where you have to identify landmarks along the way and win prizes.

This road rally, we may not know the directions, but we know the destination. It is the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. It is truly in the middle of nowhere - NE of Kalamazoo. The Gilmore is a collection of over 300 cars. It is the first or second largest car collection in the USA. It's a 2-hour drive from my house.

Frosty, I don’t know how to answer that. I know I get way to hard nosed about things, because I feel folks should care enough about what is really important not just extrinsic things. I know you are a good man, I consider you a friend. Any frustration I show is at the populous it’s not a specific.

Because it is something that has interested me since I was young I tend to do very deep research into certain things & when I articulate those results I usually get a look of I’m nuts or they know better, but have no proof but the media said so!

So yes, Van Buren is credited with starting the Democratic Party, but the fact is Andrew Jackson was the driving force behind it! If you look at the Jacksonian party, which if you dig deep enough you’ll find started in 1824 not 1828. You will see it was Jackson not Van Buren behind it. There are documents, though even harder to access today than even 5 years ago, wonder why, the show a meeting between Robert Owen, a textile magnet from Welsh,. He was a true socialist, in every sense of the word. After this meeting you can follow the movement into a Democratic Party with a continuous move towards socialism. I’ll leave it there.

Operation Mockingbird is what you described, but it also targeted foreign news media as well if you read the entire document. And while the CIA denies it’s existence the proof of it is so obvious only a fool or someone brainwashed would doubt it! I could get arguments to why it’s real, but for this forum and your post about “purple haze” maybe the name? I think me should celebrate that for now!

I made my first mod on the Challenger today. An 11/16 and a 3/4 open end wrench was all I needed to loosen the factory shift knob and install my new shift knob! It took less than 5 minutes!

Then you'll restart it, ram it into first, give it 5k and tear off sideways as the lights go red for Mr Rifle Rack. Happy days.

Oh, GuitarsExtreme (GE) texted me yesterday. He gave me a whole bunch of advise on what to do and what not to do with my purple people eater. Here's what he suggested.

For context, he owns the 2008 SRT that was used on Stacey David's GEARZ in season 3 and in the Bully Doug tuner and Cherry Bomb muffler commercials. We call it the Deerslayer (started by Petty's Garage) because of the number of deer and other critters he's killed with it over the years.

1. Run AMSOIL or Royal Purple motor oil - obviously a premium oil

2. Use a Holley Diablo Trinity i 3 engine tuner

3. Put a stronger spring in the oil pump to keep higher pressure to keep the lifters from chattering at start up

4. Use orange antifreeze recommended for use with Dodges

5. Install an oil catch can *optional*  He races and doesn't use one on his 392 and 426 hemis, but his 526 race engine does have one.

6. Remove the engine cover over the intake and fuel rails during the summer to help reduce under hood temperatures and put it back on during the winter months to help warm up the intake.

7. Install strut tower braces - front and back - and then weld in subframe connectors to stiffen the body for better handling. The fun with the rear strut tower brace is removing the back seat first!

8. Replace the fuel pump with a high volume unit, most stock pumps don't adequately feed fuel much above 3,000 RPM. No need for a duel pump, just a single high pressure unit.

10. If you have a sunroof like I do, it's important to periodically blow out the drain tubes at the corners with compressed air at 30 psi or less. Otherwise it will blow them out into the interior and water could reach the floorboard.. Replacing the tubes requires removing the headliner. Removing the headliner requires removing the front windshield. GE has the added challenge since he has a roll cage in the Deerslayer.

11. Use DOT 6 brake fluid if your racing. Normal DOT brake fluid is fine for street use.

12. Use AMSOIL or Royal Purple oil filters. Recommend filters with 2-3 microns ideally. Nothing above 5 microns.
