Well yes it’s winter again! So it’s itch time again. I made the new shift knob a couple years ago now, but it just never grabbed me the way I thought it would so  I’m back at it again! 
First I thought I would do one out of my amber Ultem material! I got about half way through and that JustA didn’t look like I was going to like how it would turn out. So I thought about a different aluminum design!

there is an inlay piece that goes into the arrowhead cut out of the aluminum ball knob.

Nothing wrong with 4-doors. My Buick Roadmaster has the 90s area LT1 350 V8 in it. It has a detuned cam vs. the Corvette of the day, but it will still get out of it's own shadow. It has some torque to it for a full body-on-frame car. They still make the performance heads and intake for it, so I could beef it up several more ponies if I was inclined to do so.

Kiwi - you are absolutely right, the man creates art. I've had the privilege of receiving some of this man's masterful works of art. It's like opening presents on Christmas Day.

 i think you wasted you time in the oil industry, you should have been on Pontiacs design team, and then we all could have had these cool parts in and on our pontiacs' 😋

Well, this is probably the only work I will do on the Indian this year! Finally took the front splitter back off to paint the underside with Hammerite!

Well as all of us northern folks start getting ready for our crap weather, it’s that time when we start planning our winter projects. Of which I hope to have several for the Indian. So stay tuned for some updates!

So some may remember the trunk cover for the spare tire/battery. 

And while I originally thought it was ok, as time moved on I knew I wanted to do something else, but I couldn’t exactly see what that was to be. Now I have.

so I needed to remove all the old hardware & start sanding & sanding. Any guesses as to what’s next?

Betting it's gonna involve lights around the spare tire through the spare tire cover.  Didn't I send you one of those lights I had made up?  Might be the time to play it.

No, but to some degree yes.

No, but a coating of a type may be applied, not sure yet.

Bingo & possibly the later that you mentioned! Haven’t worked out the details yet! And yes you did & again thank you. 

New hardware is being designed & hopefully will be built this winter, but not sure yet how it will evolve.

 

To give this some perspective, this piece is 26” long 11 1/4 “ tall.

Like that idea.  That's cool.  Only you could make the spare tire a star!

Step by step! If I could only carve out some time to work on the Indian as easily as aluminum carves!
