Yeah - a tempting proposition but being shitfaced before lunchtime is not a good look nor will my liver thank me. Another hour or so before I crack the first one. Gotta peel off my dressings first.

I used a standard 2 piece seal for the rear main. I was advised against the one piece as they have a reputation for leaking. The 2 piece was BOP Engineering supplied and worked perfectly. I followed the instructions exactly and it hasn't leaked a drop. I'll admit it was with some trepidation that I installed it but as I was performing the procedure I could see exactly why they said to do this & that.

Leave the hydro stuff for now. I am keen to at least get started (you can buy little starter kits online) even if just to grow tomatoes. Why the f@#k do tomatoes cost so much?

i know !!! thats what inspired me to build the big tunnel house so i could grow 48 plants ! i still cant get them to grow and produce all year round !! its justa too cold in Taupo ... but i get a good 8-9 months of cropping and i can pick anything from 2- 6kgs a day

which pisses the boss off as she has to do some thing with them !!!  ... hay i am the grower !! not the processor !!

Yep - do it. It's a quality Viton seal and easy to install. Just do what they say!

Ah - Animal House. A rite of passage as a young man to sit through that multiple times whilst irrigating oneself with beer & salty snacks.

Animal House legitimatized much of my misbegotten youth!  One might actual say it inspired me much of the time.

Does anyone remember the Fabre College motto on the founder’s statue?

“Knowledge is good.”

Oh and don’t worry about the double secret probation thing on FP Fitzy!

I have good news - well, good for me anyway. After having 6 biopsies done on my remaining problem spots, because they are all superficial they can be treated with a special chemotherapy cream instead of being surgically removed. Believe me, this IS good news. I had 2 removed this morning (cheek & wrist) and am now nursing 4 wounds. Sitting around looking at crap online is getting old.

Is it beer o'clock yet?

Needless to say, get an annual skin check - just to make sure. You guys in the States are probably not exposed too much to super duper UV (except for Ringo) but Kiwi man this is a message for you too. You do NOT want to endure this.

I might have a go at installing my tail light holders this weekend if my poor foot can stand it. Soz - it's the only Pontiac related item I have to share.

My brother has been diagnosed with borderline melanoma. He’s had a couple of suspected hot spots surgically removed and were diagnosed as pre-cancerous  so at nearly 69, he has to be vigilant. He use to be quite active outdoors in his youth. It can happen here in the north too!

Take joy in your good news mate!  Drink beer! Eat pizza! Watch car porn! Go back to chucking spanners and cussing at Pontiacs! We are all here - cheering for you!

Good. I don't want you dying before me either. I mean, imagine the cost of me shipping all those cars over here after you bequeath them to me.

Yeah, get a skin check. Get 'em when they're small and it's not a drama. I left mine way too late and am now sporting some nice big scars and am feeling quite fragile.

It’s one thing i simply forgot about mate

Don’t tell the boss ! She will justA go pfft and roll her eyes

We're moving!

We'd been looking around for a larger property and found one a few km out of the town up the road. It's 6 acres with a modest weatherboard house and a massive shed complete with, drum roll...a vehicle hoist! Okay, so the shed is old and has been added to over the years but it's 23m long! The hoist (drive on 2 ramps) looks like it is surplus from WW2 but works. If you never hear from me again it's because the thing failed and I am hamburger mince under the GP.

All my surgical wounds have healed (I gots a bitchin' tough looking scar on my cheek) and I'm back to work next week. When I get back it's Action Stations for moving house - always a fun way to spend your week off. I'll send some pics once we're a little more settled.

Yeah - my surgical scars are all good but my mental scars will never heal!

I have been wearing the Pontiac Transportation Museum hat that Frosty kindly sent me all those years ago: it says PTS on the front. I'm gonna tell peeps it stands for Pontiac Trauma Survivor.

"Yes, I once restored a 60 year old Pontiac and all I got was this hat." 😁

Also, be sure to change the locks on the house before you move AND don't tell the kids you've moved or where. At 33, it's time for them to learn to be self-sufficient.

I reckon I could fit 10 cars under that shed, but that won't be happening. There are 2 old tractors and 3 old trucks gently rusting away too. I'm going to keep one tractor as lawn art and perhaps one old truck. It's an Austin and has nice 1940s lines.

I took some more stuff out there today and snapped a pic of the better of the trucks. I won't take any more pics yet. The old bloke who we bought it off has been there for 40 years and he has effectively left me everything in his enormous shed. It's a mess and I'm eager to get in there and clean it up. I also expressed interest in some lovely old solid timber wardrobes and bed frames. The floors are all polished timber and with a coat of paint it's gonna look nice.
