  • Well the HID kit is fully removed and sitting in my garage, my buddy only found ONE Sunfire of my generation at the junkyard near him, so he grabbed all the wire harnesses for the lights and such. So

Might do a fly by later, hoping some of this snow will be gone by then, seeing a snow filled parking lot doesn't help :P

Yup.....I remember waaay back when TYC had tail lights for Civics and stuff at some auto parts stores, but only for Civics, in those same boxes...gosh that was ages ago haha!

so are these said custom lights you were waiting for? if not, when??

  • Author

Ok, these are the lights I used to have: 100_3226.jpg

As you can see, they had some blemishes and such. In the the box are the same exact ones, but we ordered new ones because one of the housings was in seriously bad shape (melted plastic and such because of the guy I got them from must of used too hot of a bulb or something). So my buddy Jeff said it would probably be best to just order a whole new set, and thats what we did ;)

Just have to wait for Jeff to tear the new housings apart and transfer the leds over, then I will go on up and get them installed.

Can't rush perfection ;)

That's the exact Magnaflow muffler I'm trying to find for the Galant! How do you like it?

  • Author

I love it, it sounds kinda rally-car like when it cackles and stuff, but thats only when you rev it (I only did it for video purposes), but while driving its nice sounding, not too loud but deep. I give it a 4/5.

Nice to hear more good feedback...

I'll be using a 24" glasspack with the Magnaflow muffler to cut down on the rasp and interior drone.

Surprisingly enough, with the way that is set-up (all stock exhaust and resonator, with the magnaflow muffler) there is not much drone, unless I have the car in cruise and I am going up slight inclines and such, its pretty quiet.

Bad news though, my car and I are not on speaking terms, both of my HIDS stopped working the other day and they still won't work what-so-ever. I have some ideas, one being that maybe the ballasts are dead (which isn't a huge issue because I am getting a better kit soon anyway, but the last 2 days I have worked at night and no low-beams is a problem).

Although that gave me a chance to drive my Mom's Grand Prix GT (forgot how much fun that car is). Then I had to drive the Saturn tonight :/
