Once again a lost art! And of course my statement about the old timers! Do you know why they used rivets? And while I doubt it would have made little difference, if the twin towers had used rivets is just possible that there might have been more time to get out! But we’ll never know! -

Best I can tell... this NOS Air cleaner assembly (first time opened for these pictures- Base, filter element, cover) part# 5648423 fits 1960 - 1962 Corvettes as well as mid 60's Pontiac Tempest/GTO's. I can tell you that it is a chrome cover - not natural aluminum and does not have the AC stencil present on the inside lid. Factual input regarding this part number and application is welcomed. $275 -
