i will go with what my driveshaft shop mate Brent recomends Rick, but yes we spoke about using a sonnax t35 adaptor and 1350

I didn’t expect the clearance issues with the headers !

But easy to fix !

I really want to get the body down on the frame next weekend and see what I need to chop to get the 6l80 fitting

i made a start on the tunnel chop today....

body in on the lift and out with the seats and carpets, the floors are in very good condition , i only found one small spot of rust that i will need to cut out ....

really close, but i know that a 6l80e is not going to fit in a 63 tunnel !

I had removed the front doors JustA to make life easier while working on the floor

But I managed to snap a window winder when I unbolted the hinges !!!!

Which gutted me !

i struggle to get time mate !! i only started at 11 am this morning after all my other chores the boss had me doing !!

then the tractor wouldnt start !!! pita as its my mover of all these big parts !

but its beer oclock now and i am very happy with todays progress !

Once i have the tunnel sorted i am going to clean off the fire wall and thats when i want to talk to you about paint ..

i dont want a black engine bay, its going to be red ! so i will be preping and painting this before the body sits on the frame for the last time

Hello Chris,

I did not realize or remember this was a 6L80E build. What are you going to use for a transmission controller with your Gen 3 LS engine? Probably not the original Gen 3 P59 powertrain control module . . . ??? Maybe an E38 PCM??
