My first one works good but make some funny sounds which may be a bad sign. I bought the shop manual to try and see If I need to send it back. It seems experts say the trans is pretty good but hard to get parts and to rebuild. I plan on driving this for a while but if it has any nagging dependability issues I will consider a newer high performance motor trans combo. This may sound crazy but My son and I drive the car all the time and want to keep doing it. We hate to go without it which is why I bought a second trans and motor. In fact…….. wait for it…. I just picked up another 64 Bonneville convertable! It will take a week to get here from the cross country trek. See pics of the newest Bonnie!

Hay !!!! I justA noticed where the aerial is mounted !! That’s factory position for a rag top ???? It’s in the passenger side front fender on my girl !!!

It is only like that on this one. It has more upgrades like power windows, ac, duel exhaust. I’m having it shipped so not sure of everything yet.

That looks correct. I would suggest     https://www.fatsco.net/online-store.       This is where my transmission guy bought parts. They know everything there.

Hi Kiwi. Just got back from work this arvo and am catching up now with all the posts. This will sound obvious but did you check the condition of the auto fluid? I'm pedantic about fluid changes but Joe Sixpack (the car's previous owner(s)) isn't, especially when an auto tranny is concerned. If you fix the leak and replace fhe fluid and any filters (if there are such things) your tranny is gonna love it and may shift far happier. Some band adjustments and a good clean and you might be lucky.

As far as our NZ trip is concerned, it has turned to custard. I will happily send those mirrors to you because the chances of getting there before the middle of next year are looking mighty slim. Let me know.

mate! nz is screwed !! delta is going to go ramp- it in the next few weeks and the only thing we have is vaccination  to stop it killing  ppl 

they locked down Auckland for 5 weeks, did not "quote" stomp out delta" and tomorrow are dropping the lock down level! 

justA big waste for time and lost income. this new zealand government should have had us all vaccinated by now and they didnt ! consequences of actions aye ! 

you hang on to those mirrors because we WILL meet up, and it will be either you and your boss coming here or me and mine coming to visit you !!

i think its beer o clock!! 

my boss is currently stuck in Auckland after going up,to help with the new grand baby 

but now cant get home thanks to there being a border between Auckland and the rest of nz..

she is whats called level 4 up there and tomorrow it drops to level 3 but shes still not allowed to come home !! 

guess i will be cooking for myself for a while yet!!!

hmmmm tomorrow night will be pork chop night,,, followed by steak eggs and chips night followed by crumbed fish night. followed by lamb roast night... ...... who was i talkiing about ??????

Yes Andy, despite the fact most of us will escape unscathed, this thing is real and just because it's invisible doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Nobody likes restrictions and we don't need internet jerks going nuts about the dangers of vaccinations, but if the choice is permanent damage, death or a side effect from a shot, I'll take the latter. Good advice for everyone is to be sensible and do the right thing - a lot harder for a surprising number of people to do apparently.

have ordered brand new barrel and keys with matching door lock barrels mate so i will have a matching set

I had to drive 2 hours to a shop in Napier for her to get this chair and it was justA soooooo much fun !!! Not !
