  1. Well those voices some how affected me today. The family and I were travelling to our vacation destination - Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. This put us within GE's warped sphere of influence, and sucked us right in. We ended up meeting GE for lunch at Cracker Barrel outside the Carowinds Amusement Park on the South Carolina/North Carolina border. So look at what GE gave me boys and girls. A set of port and polish RAM AIR II heads !!!! We took a photo together too. Yes, notallthere, I grabbed his butt for you liked you asked and he titty twisted me back at ya'! Ouch! He also gave me a Petty Garage baseball cap and some stump water. Gawd I am trouble. Now I have to send his wife a Sanders vanilla bumpy cake and 12 pack of Vernors (it's a Detroit thing, trust me! GE's wife grew in SE Michigan!).
  2. I am still kicking myself for not buying this last Friday. Obviously this has GE written all over it !!!! I found this at Royal Oak's Memorial Park.
  3. Lucy goes to the paint shop tomorrow. The paint on the engine side of the hood is delaminating after 20 plus years. I am also getting a small scratch in the rear lower valance panel fixed. One other part is getting painted too.
  4. Are you sure? Could it be the A/C belt or the power steering belt and/or pumps?
  5. Thanks guys! I'm fried too! I was totally blown away by winning anything. I was content to have a good place to park. I don't know about you guys, but I didn't miss the DJ either. Hard to have a bad time with cars, buds, cold ones, and lots of unburned hydrocarbons!
  6. Interesting...if you read the '72 Lemans Canadian brochure. The GTO is displayed with the optional duck tail spoiler. Very few of these ever left the factory because of quality problems and the rest were rumored to have been trashed. Pontiac cancelled this option rather quickly. The same thing would happen on the '77 Can-Ams
  7. Happy birthday JUSTA!!!! I am trying to catch up - at least on the idea of retirement but the wife won't let me!!!! Happy belated birthday Ringo !!!!
  8. My first thought would be to check your speed sensors and brake booster module and harnesses for moisture and/or corrision. Drying them out and applying some di-electric grease might help. Those would things certain impact the ABS/Stablitrak/traction control systems. Using compressed air to blow out any dirt from the connections is a good thing. You may have a faulty speed sensor on one of the wheels that may need replacing too. These Grand Prixes have had issues with this in the past. A poor or faulty ground is another possibity, but those can be a devil trying to find too. So check each wheel well, the brake booster, and ECM in the engine compartment for any loose, broken, or missing wires and connections.
  9. I finished fabric guarding last night. I am letting it set up over night in the garage so I can finally put it in the bag tonight. 1st official Back to the Bricks event was last night at the US 23 Drive-In movie theater. It was showing.....wait for it.......Smokey and the Bandit
  10. Talk to notallthere. One never knows what the voices in his head will tell him to do.
  11. Welcome to FP 77fbird. I checked out your facebook page. So based on your photos, what stage of the transformation are you at? What are your plans for the car mechanically and interior wise? I assume you have access to either a graphic artist or a graphic wrap shop to do the exterior.
  12. $2.36 for 87 octane this morning around here. But with Back to the Bricks festivities starting today and Woodward this weekend, I expect a 10-20 cent spike in gas prices for the weekend.
  13. His version of Clockwork Orange....force you to watch or participate in notallthere porn? Complete with hot liquid latex, male Brazillian wax jobs and mucho libre masks....for starters. ...or keep you in your current job.
  14. I'll donate $20 to that one. Of course there has to be a string hanging out of the trunk when the car is finished.
  15. You mean something like this? >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJDyKA8CIb8 But Pro is correct - it is sport to screw with GE at any opportunity. He will return the favor when he can. You missed the Frosty assassin routine by an elite G.I. Joe squad a few years ago in a different forum. It was something that could have only been inspired by reading Calvin and Hobbes.
  16. Whatever product you choose, it should serve you well. Obviously you will need to take precautions to not get it on the interior, carpet, dash, or windows. This stuff only comes off with an atom bomb once it is cured.
  17. I am waiting for Ringo's link to the Go Fund Me site.....and then I will laugh hysterically.
  18. POR and Eastwood are both good companies that sell rust encapsulators. POR stands for Paint Over Rust. Eastwood also carries a line of rust converters that chemically changes rust into some other compound. I know that notallthere has used a 3rd product on his Chevelle frame but the name is escaping me at the moment. I do agree with JUSTA6, POR 1st choice, Eastwood 2nd choice.
  19. Especially when GE is welding too close to his 'puter.
  20. Yeah,a '67 Grand Prix convertible and a 2000ish Dodge Ram collide in front of us.No one in either vehicle is wearing seat belts, although you can understand the lack of seat belts in the GP. The GP is turning left onto South bound Woodward, and the Ram hits him in the right front (the Ram was trying to make the light and ran it). Ambulance and 911 are called. Broken glass and blood - yeah buddy. I think the Ram pickup got the worst of it since the dash was smashed after since the air bags didn'tdeploy but the driver's head still smacks the dash, as does his passenger (since neither are wearing their seat belts). Although the GP had some pretty major front end damage too....hood, fender, door, windsheild.
  21. I can. I still have to fabric guard it. I got to enlist the kid's help to open the damn thing up first.
