  1. Welcome to FP and the madness. stratman is correct about getting your PHS documentation. It is well worth having.. Which Goodguys show are you trying to go for? The big one in Columbus?
  2. I still can't figure out who's smile is bigger, Papa's or your grandson's? Both look pretty happy though. What a wonderful gift. What did your grandson say when he first saw it?
  3. Yup - noticed that last night on the way up to Houghton Lake to drop off the kid. 20 cent jump in one day in gas. It was still $2.78 when I filled up in the morning. Just in time for the 4th of July driving season. I am sure there is a logical explanation....I just can't get past greed.
  4. Depending on the show, that's not a problem for him. He's a Power Tour Long Hauler veteran. We meet up every year in Charleston WV for the Doo Wop (hint hint hint) because his daughter and granddaughter live there. So distance is not that big a thing for him, just a reason.
  5. Thanks....I thought that might be the case.
  6. Mike stood over his tee shot on the 450 yard 18th hole for what seemed an eternity. He waggled, looked up, looked down, waggled again, but didn't start his back swing. Finally his exasperated partner asked, 'What the hell is taking so long?' 'My wife is watching me from the clubhouse balcony,' Mike explained. 'I want to make a perfect shot.' His companion said, 'You don't have a chance in hell of hitting her from here'.
  7. I don't think we've ever had a Beaumont as POTM before.
  8. Thanks for sharing stratman....I was anxiously hoping to see a certain El Camino there. It belongs to a buddy of mine from Richmond. Alas it was not to be.
  9. I can't help it you are geopgrahically challenged there stratman.. ..its the one place I know in Virginia with supposedly uber-cheap gas. I've stopped there twice on the advice of a friend coming thru between West Virginia and North Carolina off of I-77. I plan to stop there again this summer on my way back to Hilton Head SC in August.
  10. Thanks stratman....thanks Ghosty.... The pictures don't do the cars justice....particularly the white/blue SD-396 because the day was soooo gloomy and rainy. It would be a stunning car in the sunshine. I had never seen an Acadian station wagon before either. Of course I've seen my share of Nova/Chevy II wagons, just not the Acadian variants.
  11. I thought it might be a slingshot, a kielbasa, some cheese wiz, and Froggy. Zingy zingy Oba-day !!!!!
  12. I vote that you put the whole spindle on as a unit then. You've already done half the hard work anyway.
  13. Tough question. One the one hand, you don't have to screw around disassembling the hub. However, you do have to screw around disassembling the upper and lower control arms and perhaps the strut assembly and then reassembling everything. Which one is less work for you? Also do you have remove everything yourself from the G6 in the yard too to get the spindle or the hub? Is it $75 for either the spindle or the hub or just for the hub?
  14. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5? That's amazing! I've got the same combination on my luggage! Probably no one. Heck no one has figured out the critter catcher either.
  15. It's $2.39 in Wytheville stratman!!!! Around here in Michigan, it's $2.78/gallon.
  16. GE - You, of all people, should not be surprised by the twisted nature of this thread !!!! I think you are JUSTA disappointed that you've missed so much!!! What's your point? Try getting this Honourable Mention out of your head now!!!! Too much rouge though.
  17. Not too surprising since Flint was home to Buick Motor Division and the V6 Engineering center for decades. So it would be natural for the Buick/V6 boys to take an interest in your ride. Was one of them named Denny Manner per chance? Denny was the Malcom McKeller equivalent for Buick engines. He developed the torquey Buick V8 engines and developed the Indy V6 race and pace car engines.
  18. Nope - Oldsmobile was like Pontiac, North American only brand with perhaps a handful of special European exports. Early on, a lot of American cars in Europe were brought over by U.S. G.I.s stationed in NATO countries like Germany, France, and Italy, who subsequently sold them or left them there. Nowadays, there are huge European importers of classic American cars- its become big business over there. Hard to say how this one came about. Come to think of it, havoc, why are you in Poland in the first place?
  19. Joe WTF? I know the story of the lifters. That part I get. Why did you have to do all that other stuff? Good luck putting it back together....I'd love to see your Lemans back on the road again. I know you really do.
  20. Frankly I am in the mood to get out of Dodge and do just about anything that isn't baseball related right now. Sadly, the wife and I have to work on Thursday. So we get to leave for Lake City right after work, drop the kid off, and then turn around and head home. His buddy's family will bring him home on Sunday night.
  21. This is GE's car thread Ghosty. It's twisted from the get go. If you spent any measurable time with GE, you'd readily understand that. If you spent any time in the "Deer Slayer" Challenger, you'd readily understand the deeply twisted nature of his being and the neck snapping ability of the Challenger...... Nice Schultz imitation too. Let it go man, just let it go !!!!
  22. Might be tough to do selfie's while in the middle the road - and dangerous too !!! However, we will try. The kid will be up north but the wife and I should be out and about.
  23. We all know that Pro looks better in drag than I do. The pumps and pearls highlight his beard and eyes !
