  1. I can. I still have to fabric guard it. I got to enlist the kid's help to open the damn thing up first.
  2. Yeah, the ugly fat chicks deserve a limo ride too. DId I just fail my PC/senstivity training again?
  3. I got a tent as big as JUSTA's now! Damn its big.
  4. Sorry for being late to this thread guys. I've been extremely busy getting the boy ready to play 16u baseball for Team USA this weekend in Canada, so I have not had time to be online as much. I agree with all the advice JUSTA6 has given you. Let's talk about why you are not getting any air out of your air vents. Do you get any air when you set it to Max, Normal, Vent, Heater, or Bi-Level? If you are not getting anything at all, then I suspect the issue is the flabber door cable is disconnected. The slide bar you move is connected to a cable that opens/adjusts a directional door that directs the air to either the windshield (defroster), air vents, or to the driver/passenger feet. I suspect that this cable is disconnected from the door and it is stuck point towards defrost. The door is located under the dash on the passenger side. You will have to remove the A/C ducts to get to it. Your car has a T-connection to the engine fan for a reason. One is tied to the engine temp sensor, so the computer will turn the fan on when it reaches its operating temperature. The other is when A/C comes on. A/C adds heat to the engine and therefore when A/C is switched on, the fan comes on to allow it to cool the engine. Some Firebirds had dual fans. After reading this thread, are you stil having a problem with the interior fan when you turn it on, does it still shut off on the first and last setting like it does in your video? Or is it fixed?
  5. OK - as a wagon with the HO OHC 6 and automatic transmission options, it is one of 47. I am already very, very impressed. I imagine there is probably no way to know how the two tone color options on this car might break this car down even further. It could be a one of one when all is said and done. I doubt PHS could give us that level of granularity though. Thanks for sharing Sprint 6 !!!
  6. I'm sure there is, probably not one of us though.....
  7. This second batch of photos on the wagon do it justice Sprint 6 !!! I just now noticed the two tone paint scheme. White roof and a blue body along with blue A, B, and C pillars....again a rarity among wagons. The owner has show remarkable restraint on this car. The only mod I see is the speakers in the door. Even the dog dish wheels are stock. The fact that it is also an H.O. car definitely makes it even rarer. Any PHS numbers on how rare it is?
  8. That's awesome. A fellow Widetracker was once president of the GTOAA. His name is Eric White, he owns White House Graphics and he does a lot of illustrations for both Smoke Signals and the Legend. He was president back in the 90s I beleive. He owns a gold '67 GTO convertible. It is Eric's GTO that is on the cover of Wanger's book - Glory Days. I would not be surprised if you run into him at a future GTOAA convention.
  9. Awesome pictures there Sprint 6. I was at my local cruise on Friday and I ran into some fellow Widetrackers. They were weekend widows because their hubbies were all at Norwalk too. Damn I wish I could have gone. I know Mac McKellar would have been proud of your Cammer Reunion bud!!! First time I've seen a A-body station wagon with the original OHC 6 still in it. I shouldn't be surprised since it was the base motor. It's just most wagons had their OHC 6s pulled out in favor of a V8 at some point in time.
  10. We pick on you for three reasons GE; 1. You deserve it. 2. You do stupid things from time to time......see point 1 above. 3. It's considered sport B R A V O J U S T A B R A VO ! ! !
  11. Talk about deja vu. I was at my local cruise on Friday night. I had the same general conversation with a guy who has a 67 Lemans with a 400 engine. He was staring at my car for a good 5 minutes before I said anything. Seems he is having the same heat soak issue. I gave him all the same tips I outlined here.
  12. So what are you going to work on first? Scrapping the University of Wisconsin sticker off the front bumper of the Phoenix?
  13. I don't think a 4.5 inch wang is considered huge, even in the world of automotive porn GE !!! ....and the line about "its not how big it is, its how you use it" doesn't seem to appropriate either !!!
  14. I think those are wise decisions Steve. The only other suggestions I would make is: A. Port match / blend your intake runners, heads, and gaskets as a set for better airflow B. Triple angle valve job for better transition air flow into the cylinders. C. Replace your valve guides and perhaps your valves (based on wear). D. Install hardened valve seats for use with unleaded fuel since Pontiac didn't build them that way originally unless your heads were buitl in the mid-to-late 70s or have been rebuilt since E. Consider upgrading to a stamped steel roller rocker arm for longevity. F. Buy a set of Ram Air Restoration reproduction factory Ram Air/HO exhaust manifolds or a set of headers for better exhaust flow. G. Inspect your oil pump and pick-up / replace if necessary. H. Replace the points & condenser in your distributor with a Petronix breakless set-up.
  15. Way to go stratman.....another wonderful home for Black Betty !!!! How long have you been a member of the GTOAA?
  16. You'd think they want 'em in Detroit during Woodward with all the out of town Johns, cash, and cars available!
  17. It showed up late last night. Go figure! Did they say anything after you mentioned it?
  18. I beleive the 6-speed manual transmission was dropped mid-way thru the 2007 model year. I don't think there are any 2008s or 2009s with a manual tranny. Check the build date on the car. I think it should be posted on the door jam or the door, if not on the VIN tag itself.
  19. Me or you? I know I missed it. I had a mandatory CANUSA games parents meeting for the kid to play baseball in Hamilton Canuckistan next weekend and I had forms to fill out and I had to pay the registration fees (in cash no less). So I was S-O-L on that call. Still have not gotten the tent. I am about ready to call them up again and ask what the deal is. I am starting to get PO'd.
  20. Seems the Big Three Ostriches are still burying their collective heads in the sand still beleiving in the age old axiom: if they don't see a problem, you won't either.
  21. Got the Envoy back yesterday. Lower ball joints were bad, along with the inner and outer tie rod ends.
  22. I talked to GE last night for about 30 minutes. Seems the reason for being in Exhibition Class is because of the height of the rear wing. Seems there are rules about how high rear spoilers can be for each class, and the Daytona spoiler exceeds all of the other class limits.
  23. I talked to GE last night. He can't come to Woodward this year, seems that all vacations are being denied at work for that period of time. He's not happy about it.
  24. The work of Paul Deesen, retired GM and Pontiac designer. He designed my "Jury" logo too. He is a fellow Widetracker.
