So

I got a day to play on the 68 again ..

I had made one corner section for the back screen , then clicked I had used 1.6mm sheet steel !!! Fail !!!

So I made it again out of 1.2 mm

And while I was making the passenger side , I went ahead and made the rest of the surround ….

I have rust alllll the way around that rear screen , so I am replacing the lot !

IMG_8229.jpeg

I have new glass so I used it to see how all the sections would sit

IMG_8222.jpeg

And went to replacing each section at a time ,,,,,,

What i am finding is the parts are cheap! amd. jegs. summit. but its the shipping ! its a killer !!!

and i am struggling to get these purchases past the accounts department !!!!

right now my list is....

a rear parcel tray metal, cowl panel and dash top panel. sounds easy if i lived in cali !!!!

So much work but I love your attitude about it all. Yes, definitely an A-body set of problems.

I am about to pull the trigger on my stoker crank and rods for my 400 Build

I am going with an Eagle 4.5 crank and some 6.800 bb chev rods , but no pistons at this stage . I am getting my 4x heads crack tested and ccd , before I set what dish I need in the pistons

IMG_9916.jpeg

IMG_9915.jpeg

I did my own ccd and I recon these 4x are 98 cc

But I want the machine shop to con firm that and crack test them before I go any further .

They seam to be in good condition .

And if all is good , I can get them to work out what custom pistons will suit .

Watch this space !
