Bigger issue to keep in mind is value of our pride N joys.   They could become worthless after all the time and money spent.  We all remember cash for clunkers.   As TWO lane said, We are all going to have things to Thank Obiden for in the near future...    He has spent the 1st 2 weeks practicing his signature (as per alzheimer's therapy) Somebody needs to move him onto colors N shapes before we have nothing left of the country.

You know the old legislature's adage: "We never met a tax we didn't like!" - adage follow-up "...of course we are going to exempt ourselves from it!"

Funny the tax he JUSTA penned in, happens to be the largest tax hike in US history!  Where's the uproar??   And he still wants to take away our motorized investments.  Anyone notice in the last 2 weeks, gas has gone up .40 a gal????   I sure did here in the Mitten.

The price of Gas started going up here In NC..The day after the election...Right at 50 cents per gallon so far and rising daily... Non ethonal 93 octane has gone up even more than that....There also legislative talk here about a mileage tax....

You hit the nail on the head my friend! And drove it clean through the 4x4! Bidien’s not at the helm! The other guy with the big O to start his name is running the show! If any doubt that; it’s your right! There’s a novel idea! Free choice, free speech! Wow! Who knew!

But, there is actually a large amount of proof that he is! 
 

The saddest part of the whole thing relevant to the article is the big big lie! And nobody I mean nobody with any real power will step forward and make the people in this world understand! There is actually scientific proof that CO2 doesn’t effect global warming, fact! Through core samples at the Antarctic & fossil analysis from around the world we know that there have been many periods of increased CO2, and guess what earth temperatures actually went down! Guess what else? Our current CO2 reading of 410ppm is actually quite low compared to other previous times history when they have been as high as 9000ppm! 
Did you know that as recently as 1000 years ago Viking were raising cattle, sheep and goats on Greenland were they had extensive grasslands at that time! Yet 200 years later they started abandoning them because Greenlands temperatures started to fall! All true! Still believe greenhouse effects cause climate change? Still believe car emissions, industrialization and CO2 cause climate change!?

I realize that this is not the forum for this...But I'm going to say it anyway...The fear of climate change that the gullible masses ( The ones who just smart enough to do what they're told without Question or hesitation...But dumb enough to think by doing so makes them smarter than everyone else) are the ones buying into it...The "climate crisis" is merely the vehicle being used to gain control of every facet of our daily lives from cradle to grave...

Also you are right from the perspective that if they are effective at moving everything to electric, than they can control everything you own! How much energy you use! And once they moved everyone away from natural gas, gasoline   Oil and the like it’s over! All the infrastructure would be gone! We would all be screwed!

Why did Trump get us out of the Paris Climate accords?   OBUMMER/Obiden thought it was a good idea for us to pay for the majority of this crap as the rest of the world watched!!  We already have the highest standards of any country on the planet, Water quality, air quality,  controls on manufacturing.  Look at China, the MOST polluted place on the entire Planet with NO reason (Paris Climate N rest of the earth be damned.)  to do anything about it.  There is an island of plastic and garbage floating in the Pacific mainly from CHINA.  They literally make us all sick.  What has the Paris climate done about it????  Nothing?  Oh yea, they were a lil short on funding as nobody stepped up to the plate.  This is NOT the place to get political, I know.  But this does directly affect all of us with the same Love of our rides, be they Pontiac, Bikes, snowmobiles, boats or anything else with an engine.

Buddy I hear ya! I suppose it’s not the place, but the fact is these action affect everybody at every level in every way!! 
When they started all their emissions crap in the late “60”s I didn’t like it! But I said if it made the air cleaner, produced less pollutants, I could deal with it! Then they kept adding and adding, but you know they figured out how to make it work, and work pretty darn good! 
Yet this truly is a whole different animal! Number one! You literally can not produce enough electric for wind, solar or hydro! Even if you combined them all! You can look it up if you doubt it! All of the green energy in this county right now is 11%! Of the 11%, 43%, of that 11% is still a form of combustible, AKA burn, material! Solar is 9% of that 11%! That’s .99%!! Biden says he’s going to double that by 2045! Seriously! Hold me back! 
Understand, there is only one purpose here! Destroy crude oil infrastructures and equipment related to crude! Once that is done big energy can write their own ticket and prices! Once that’s done they will resurrect crude for their use to generate electricity, but they will control the price of crude at that point! Because no one else will be using it!

And there’s the rub!

i am with you two lane... all this pisses me off big time, but guess what, life too short to worry about it.

We are having the same bs issues down here on this little Island we live on, the Paris agreement  thing is what has been a hot topic, but guess what... public opinion here will tell our government what they are allowed to do. and i expect it will in your country too.

And in no way will our classic cars be pushed off the road. i know that for a fact 

The collector car fraction is so big now, its up there with owning property, and no government is going under minded property values in this economic environment,and in turn attack classic cars who are not a main environmental issue ( we justA dont drive them every day).

The interesting thing i have herd is that since covid, people are not putting there money in banks in case they fold, and locking there money into classic cars and warehousing them as assists! 

 And this is reflecting in the prices of classic/ muscle cars that are for sale..... are you guys seeing any thing like this ????

Unfortunately the political climate here has drastically changed as of late...And has completely divided us more than anytime in our history...It's getting worse everyday...Everyday average ordinary people are being branded as Domestic terrorists...For simply holding traditional American values...What's really going to set it off is When they start squelching our second amendment rights (Firearms) Which I fear will set off a rebellion the likes we haven't seen since the American Civil war of the 1860s...This the one time that I truly hope that I am wrong...

By the way..Is it true that when water goes down the drains in the southern hemisphere it rotates the opposite direction...???

The thing that have noticed is the lack of cash..Most of the retail outlets at least in my area do not have enough cash available to make change for even a $20.00 bill... So you have to pay for everything with a debit/credit card..As far as classic car prices...Pretty much everyone watches the cars go for high dollar on the Barret-Jackson auctions in TV and then they think that the rusty piece of junk with half the parts missing that has been sitting out in the woods behind their house for the last 25 years is worth a mint and seem to think they can retire off of What they unrealistically think they can sell it for...

example... i hit buy now on a private deal... contact the seller and stick the coin in his account,,, job done you would say

up until August last year i could walk into a bank and stick the cash into the sellers account.... not any more, the nz government shut that down.

The old cars can't be controlled.  Todays cars can be completely controlled.  Wow, gotta have onstar!!!!  Justa nother way to control you!  Justa like Facebook and the rest of social media people flock to like bugs to a lightbulb.  Locked your keys in...Justa minute, click, your doors are unlocked.  Air bag deployed, we know exactly where you are at, sending help, how cool, I feel soooo much safer.  Wait a minute, you know where I'm at, you can control every function of this car including shutting off the engine.  Oh we can't legally do all that stuff, NO WORRIES.  We are seeing first hand what is legal,  when it is, and what they can do.  Now with all this self parking....(coolest thing ever!)  They have proven this car can be remotely hacked and controlled, overriding physical control. Some where here we have had this discussion before.  It's buried in the forum.  A non computer car might Justa be the best thing you could own.  As long as we can get fuel for it.  I know lets make fuel so corrosive it destroys the old cars.  Take out their valves, melt their metal lines, carbs, ect, if you let them sit for any period of time.  Today's Gas won't even fire after a couple years of sitting and destroying your car.  RoadKill has fired cars in junkyards with 40 year old gas in em.  Not the best case senerio but you know what I mean.

Actually, the water DOES spin the opposite way - it's known as the Coriolis effect. In fact, the closer you are to the equator, the 'straighter' the flow of water down the drain. It's to do with the planet's rotation. I don't know what's going on at Kiwi's place: maybe he installed a 'Simpson's style' device that makes it spin the other way.

Damn Justa! That kinda sums it up. Amen brother!
