Stop in Monroe is June 12th.  Any idea when the Dustoff is going to be?  If I can figure it out quickly,  might buy the 1 legger status entry.  Hope I'll be back on both legs by then.:leghump:

I just read the minutes of the January WIdetrackers meeting. The Dustoff will be Saturday, June 14th.

Thursday the 12th is much better than Friday the 13th.

A new event will occur during this year's Hot Rod Power Tour. The return of Pro Street! A special display area for vehicles that qualify as Pro Street will have a special exhibition area at the Indianapolis stop. Details in the attached article. I understand registration will be limited to about 100 cars for this event.

I got signed up for the long haul this year.  Last year the long haul was sold out before I could register.  Looking forward to it.

Hope you can hook up with the FP crew.

RichE - Glad to have you on board!  is this your first Power Tour?

Indyman Joe and I are signed up for the Gold package - better parking is the only real significant difference.

Last year was the first time Long Haul sold out completely prior to the start of PT.

Joe and I have some side excursions planned in Indy and Joilet. You are welcome to join us. I am also thinking of a possible detour to Auburn Ind after the Ft Wayne stop, to the ACD and NATMUS musuems!

No this is the third 2021 longhaul, 2023 did four stops. But I hope to drive my Pontiac this year.

I’ve done the last three. Took the Trans Am in 2022 and 2024. Took the Roadmaster in 2023. I’ve registered Violet, the 2016 Challenger, this year. If I get the kinks out of Lucy (my ‘72 Lemans convertible), it will be her turn next year.

I convinced an employee of mine to sign up for the Thursday event in Monroe Michigan. He lives in Plymouth, so I persuaded him to take a day off from work and show up.

Joe, are you staying in Joilet or somewhere near by?

We will be in joliet overnight on the 10th. the longest trek will be sunday the 8th heading to our KOA 290miles. then its 30 miles to the venue mon.

any FP people plan on meeting the Michigan gang along the way?

Cant believe its been 14yrs since out last long haul. did that one in our 08 Grand Prix GT. then a couple cities in 2012 and 2014. All in the Grand Prix. Dirty girls time is now!

Joe - my ideas for side trips are:

Indianapolis - Sunday after credentials pickup - Indianapolis Motor Speedway tour

Joilllet - Drive Route 66 to Pontiac Illinois- check of the old Standard Oil gas station in Odell - pictures next to Route 66 mural in Pontiac - visit the Pontiac museum - cruise back Route 66 to Joilet

Fort Wayne - stop in Auburn - Auburn/Cord/Dusenburg museum and Natl Automotive and Truck Museum of the Unitas States - they are next to each other

Monroe - open

Norwalk - Open

Not sure what we want to do. depends on traffic, temps (no a/c) and how my co pilot feels. Been doing some m-59 testing and the dirty girl is running pretty good. A/c has never been an issue as long as we have had the car but i still have to keep the co pilot happy. the route was released a day ago and i havnt really looked at it. just looking to have a nice cruise meet some innaweb peoples and see what happens...

im just really looking to put up some sub 12 second 1/4 mile times at norwalk!

Why just Norwalk? You don' want to run sub-12s at Indy and Joilet too? Posser

Yeah, what Last Indian said!

Seriously, I would be happy with 12s in Violet. I still need to get more shifter time and find some time to play/tweak with my performance page settings for the track.

I did see the route posted the other day, I've downloaded and printed it but I have not studied it. I figure we will closely follow Indy to Joliet and Joliet to Fort Wayne. However we will probably sleep in our own beds in Michigan Wednesday through Friday. So our routes to Monroe and Norwalk will be slightly different, although once we are in Toledo we can prolly pick up the route to Norwalk if we want to.
