Got the trailing arms + sway bar installed + the new parking brakes cables this weekend... Also installed the Airshocks on the rear. Car handles completely different what a change on corners..

I thought so and they were not that much extra... and these trailing arms will accept a sway bar. NOT my picture I got it from another forum and saved it. I think that setup is for a 65 gp

I finished putting together the interior today... Now the next project is to reinstall the gas tank and fuel lines...  Leaving the disk brake kit for last.. never did one before.

Thanks 64 kiwi,

No coating on the exhaust, just the bare metal.

The mufflers are BlackWidow 3" and I also installed 2 exhaust valves with turn downs...

Hello everyone!

Today I was installing the cables for the exhaust valves and decided to change the differential oil, it was kind of low I tried to use an oil pump to extract the gear oil, but I was not able to remove tried multiple methods even a large syringe and no luck... So I thought it was empty and started to add oil,  it only took less than 1 quart...  The few ML that I was able to extract was black and very thick but no metal shavings..

I did not find a drain plug on it, looked everywhere... checked online and it does not look like it has one.  I don't want to remove the gears from the case, I was thinking about welding an o2 sensor bong to the rear case and drilling the cover to create a drain plug... do you guys have a better idea?

Thanks and have a great week everyone!

Ron

Sorry I missed your question under the picture... I did not set the pinion angle, but I did match the length of the original arms I removed.... And I also installed the sway bar upside down to keep it tucked in higher. I don't think it makes much of a difference the way it goes... And the car handles super nice on corners now... the front still needs some tunning it feels too light. I did replace the upper and lower balljoints, the control arm bushings for lower and upper . Here is a picture of the car on the lift at the exhaust shop.

Here is an audio clip of the Buick 455 with the black widow exhaust.

Hey Ron, let us know if you put the bung in your rearend. I pulled the gears on mine when I did the fluid change. I have another pumpkin on the floor and have thought about doing the same thing. Let me know how it goes bro.

I just received the front sway bar for my 63 GP will be installing it this week... to match the rear sway bar. I was not able to find new bushings for the front bar and it is made a a smaller diameter bar than this one... I hope it will perform better with the correct bushings and thicker bar...

I was working on my car this weekend fixing some wiring and installing a hidden ignition cut off switch. I noticed that my brake lights are on all the time a few days ago... So I decided to replace the brake pedal switch installed a new one that I can adjust better than the crusty original that was sliding on the metal sleeve. It did not fix the problem.. Both White and Black wires are grounded is there a common problem spot on the harness that would make the brakes lights stay on all the time?

I also added a Bluetooth Marine stereo on the glove box and an Android rear view mirror with GPS / back up camera. To power those devices + the extra gauges + the future A/C system I added a jeep style 6 gang switch panel that has everything in one package fuse block, relay and switches it works perfect and fits on the ash tray perfect. The only cable connected to the original harness is a small ignition on signal wire. The positive and negative go directly to the battery and the kit comes with a circuit breaker as well.

Here is the link just in case

Hello guys...

I took the GP for a drive today and it overheated after I got stuck behind some extremely slow cars going around 10 mph for like 10min. I stopped waited for it to cool down and drove it back home with no problems. The funny thing is that if I let in idle in park it never overheats it is only when I am driving slow. One other think I noticed is that one of my rear drum brakes was extremely hot and I could smell the burnt shoes maybe that is just enough effort on the motor to bring the temp up and cause the overheating?

Here are the temps on the brakes rotors/drums... the higher temp ones are the rear drums
