Hi Ron

the side trim will pop off. But that belt line trim Around the c pillar has cap nuts on the inside. 2 can be got at by removing the inside trim panel

The third one … you have to go into the trunk upside down and you will find it up behind the hinge mount !!

3/8 from memory

I thought so and they were not that much extra... and these trailing arms will accept a sway bar. NOT my picture I got it from another forum and saved it. I think that setup is for a 65 gp

I finished putting together the interior today... Now the next project is to reinstall the gas tank and fuel lines...  Leaving the disk brake kit for last.. never did one before.

Thanks, the sway bar is arriving Wednesday and I want to do all together. I am also replacing all the hardware and at the same time installing new parking brake cables my car had the cables cut in the center section i guess when they replaced the motor / trans due the custom transmission cross member.

Going to use this picture as a guide to install the cables for the parking brakes. I am missing the springs and the arm that comes from the transmission crossmember to the cable on the passenger side, I bought some stainless steel rods from amazon to try to bend and make a custom arm like the one in the picture

Yeah that was the main reason I got this kit to have that extra support on the frame and the available sway bay with an easy bolt on... They also have an upgrade for the front sway bar not sure if it will make any difference on the front suspension since there is one there already from the factory.

Ohhhhh hell yeah! Looks great bro, good job!

Thanks.. now I just need to take it to a exhaust shop... very loud with the current setup.

Now that the suspension is all tunned, I can feel a lot of play with the steering wheel I checked everything under the car and it is all tight I think it may be the steering box.... Is there any adjustment on it?

i took my front sway bar off and had the spring shop copy it in 25mm, all i had to do was change the bushing in the saddles .....

my 64 goes around corners wayyyyyyy better ,,, easy upgrade Ron:cheers:

i can see that you do need to sort those pipes hitting the drive shaft .

justA muffler chnage and do a x pipe setup will help heaps

There is a fellow on Facebook in California that rebuilds GM steering gear boxes - Hector "Carhex" Carrillo.   He rebuilt the box that is going into my 70 Catalina for $210 and that included return shipping to me here in Louisiana.  If you can't find him, message me and I will give you his phone number. For an additional cost, he can also change your gear ratio and torsion bar steering force to give your car a more modern road feeling.

Yeah those pipes were very poorly installed... I wanted to install all the suspension parts and the parking brake cables before doing anything with the exhaust

Hello everyone hope you guys had a great weekend... Took my car out for a drive today got stuck after the HOT light showed up on my dash and would not allow me to crank the car after I had shutdown to check everything, my car has a Buick 455 that runs at around 210 degrees. How can I disable this Pontiac feature? When I tried to crank it does nothing just shows HOT light on the dash. When it cools down I can start just fine and drive again.

210 sounds up there Ron ! how come its that hot ?

i recon you could disconnect it at the sensor on the intake manifold

but 210 sounds hot !

Thanks 64 kiwi boni

I am in South Florida (very hot) it got to 210 Fahrenheit, I searched online and found a few people that have the 455 buick and it runs at around 220F

The thing is I dont have a temp sensor connected to the car it goes direct to an aftermarket gage I installed.. So I have no clue where that HOT light is getting the signal from and cutting the ignition it wont even crank...
