Springs coming to the south ! My fruit trees are justA bout budding , I justA sprayed today for curly leaf ! Which is a pita every year for me … so it’s getting close to doing a spring clean and culling some cars I feel, and now I use my drone for fishing , I need to sell my quad bike too ! It’s been sitting for years

Went on a road trip today with my neighbour and we picked up a new Angus moo each

I have left it to the grand kids to name her

The 50th anniversary for our Taupo rod and custom club, that the boss an i have been organizing for the last year starts today !

its a 3 day event , and if i get time i will post some pictures here, its going to be hot for the duration and should be a lot of fun.

We have a number of old members invited and i am looking forward to the catch up

entries today from 3 and bbq with meet n greet

i have constructed a cruise for saturday morning around the scenic spots of Taupo with a couple of challenges for the drives including a backing test ! and 4 locations where the entrants have to take a selfie, send it to a phone number ( they dont know we are going to colate them onto a usb drive and slide show them on the saturday night at the dinner and formalities on the big tv.)

Then around mid day we have aranged a show n shine on the lake front, while the entrants go to lunch at a very good local pub that Fitzy and i went to .....( pub n grub), each entrant will receive a 20% discount voucher for lunch n drinks

and sunday prize giving and farewells

Sounds like a great weekend Chris, which I'm sure will be enjoyed to the hilt. I know how much work goes into these events from personal experience, so hope all goes well for you both.

My full on weekend started on Thursday with set up , running around getting stuff, and it all went fantastic alllll the way till sunday afternoon !

The weather was perfect ,,,, as in hot

The rodders enjoyed their weekend and we recieved lots of praise

I haven’t had a lot of sleep and it’s Sunday afternoon , we have finished cleaning up , tomorrow will be getting hire gear back to vendors

I didn’t know cake could sweat Kiwi!

I am struggling to get these pics to up load ! They stick part way through the up load !!! And I am on 5g too !!! Grrrs

and as i found, it only takes one picture file to stop the whole lot uploading!

Ringo, it there a way to add a delete to upload boxes that wont work ?

i had one pic on my iphone that kept doing the same thing, it wouldnt upload which stoped everything

We did have our club seesaw in the car park in-front of the club for a bit of fun

I ran the mystery cruise and didn’t get any real opportunities to get good pics

With the mystery cruise we had the entrants drive to some amazing spots around Taupo ask them to do a selfie then send txt (sms) it to a phone number , we got to judge the best selfies and we gave out prizes for the best, it was a crack up !!

i dont have the files yet but i will share once i do ...

It justa added a fun angle to the cruise . then we compiled them and loaded them onto a usb stick and played them on the club tv that night at the party ! it was a hit !!!

justA got the pics off our selfie cruise... this was the winner .... our friends in their 58 chev ....had the best selfie.
