Okay, so no pics. Pfft...

Hey - took GP out for it's customary once a fortnight blat and still runs faultlessly. My air cleaner element is looking shabby and I want to replace it. Now...it's part number is AC350C (the 350 refers to outside diameter in mm, so 14 inches) BUT they seem to be unavailable. K&N don't make anything the same (it has to fit under the louvred chrome lid) and neither Rockauto nor Ames lists anything. I can't get a local equivalent, although there are some washable items from someone called BMC or another is TFI, but they are taller than the AC350 and it might look funny having the chrome lid squashing down and not completely covering the filter.

I am politely asking that if any of you are in your local parts house, perhaps you could enquire on my behalf. To be clear, the can is the 'sporty' chrome louvred affair and has a very low profile. The AC350C is 350mm OD, 325mm ID and is 38mm high. The 350mm OD is non negoitable (a little less is permissible but no larger.) The other dimensions can vary.

I've been online and nobody seems to be able to source one, although I found a GM NOS one for US$120!!! No thanks.

Interesting. A similar sign can be seen on north bound Woodward Avenue, coming into Pontiac, near the hospital. It is an Indian head and a similar Pontiac font, welcoming you to the city of Pontiac.
