  2. I only got time to empty out the chassis car and then the boss had me building her planter boxes and spent all sunday fill them with dirt!πŸ™„

So i got to get a little time to empty out the " chassis car" yesterday and here is what i found... first thing of interest was this piece of paper then there was all the parts that have come with the car! and i must say, i have all i need now, things like a straight fan , hood hinge, little things that were missing like 1 wiper arm etc and i found a accel disy
  5. Haha, hell mate your the one who knows, remember this is my first pontiac! i am learning as i go along And enjoying every moment of it.... i am working tomorrow but hopefully sunday i can post a pic or two of all the parts that came with my new chassis! its like xmas time for me!

  7. First chance i get i am going to clean the car out of all the junk and lay out what i have and take some pictures, i have found lots of goodies!!! Frosty, question for you mate, the trunk floor i got the guy said it was a 64 Catalina one and they are different to 64 Bonneville. would that be correct ??? πŸ™„

Got just a little bit of time tonight after work to investigate what i brought home yesterday, and !!! the car is full of goodies, check out these floor pans Along with the car came 2 front bumpers both pretty average condition, but i can make them into wall art in the garage along with the 55 chevy wagon tailgate that was laying in the dirt next to the car when i picked it up!!!
  9. very cool cars, and like the paint jobs, but those rims would last 10 minutes on new zealand roads with all the pot holes we have !!! πŸ™„ i remember seeing the rims on display at the New York motor show back in 2018 when we went to see the Dodge demon release

  11. My new friend gave me heaps of parts and i will post pictures on the weekend, to show you all right now its beer-o clock and i have to go back to work tomorrow and Saturday to make up for my 1 day off road trip..... but man, i enjoyed it. these cars are just so cool πŸ‘
  12. all loaded up and heading back to Taupo.... getting the hell out of Auckland!!😑 And after a very long day finally home, just on dark This shell is way too good, no rust, 2 small dents, i could fix this one too !!!..... but then i need another Chassis😞 oh and fitzy, the guy had a 65 grand prix coupe in parts in his shed !! whole car
  13. with all good road trips you have to fuel up and petrol for the truck so fuel for the driver, today it was steak and cheese pie 😜 got to location and loaded up the car and had to go to another house to find a mint 64 hood and a Catalina rust free boot floor under a tree!!! ( picture of my new friend, hes a bloody good bugger, and has his 64 bonny all finished)

ITS THE DAY !🀨 tomorrow i am taking the day off work to road trip to Auckland and get my 64 Bonneville chassis !!! 😜 i know i wont sleep tonight !! after missing out back in march thanks to covid 19 lock down .... i am kinda super happy to be back at plan A !!! i will post heaps of pics... yeah i know you guys are not spinning your wheels over it, but i am super pumped to be finally getting on with my 64! this old girl is just too cool to let sit and waste away, i want to put the straight chassis under her and make her a working safe car again. bring on thursday nz time

  16. i just googled your halibut, its what we have as flounder down here really nice eating!!!πŸ‘ whole fish, coated in plain flour, pan fried in butter and eat it with malt vinegar dressing πŸ‘ one of the first fish i caught as a kid, we would use shell fish like pipis as bait to catch them, but yes i bet they like herring too!
  17. Oh man i am so jealous!! you have a room in your house that your aloud to put car stuff in my boss would skin me if i tried to bring a 64 front bumper inside!

  19. hehe good on ya fitzy, yeah i will keep it JustA with us mate πŸ‘ mine you those Hamilton chicks are said to be a bit wild!!!πŸ™„ i remember in my early days going to a few Hamilton night clubs that, well let just say where pretty rauchy i chick that sticks in my mind was like 20 years older than me back in the day, and hell she wanted to take me home ! i wasnt soo keen back then !πŸ™„ they called them cougars!, old women after young guys!

  21. i am with the guys here wrongway, go get your heads and run! machine shop with no tools!!! what the f_ck! drive the 2 hours to a REAL machine shop! better still mate, ask around, you must have mates that have had/ found a good machinist
