Reviving this a bit for a rant...

Apparently the new thing in my town is using your hazards to park anywhere you want. Just went out for lunch and encountered two people doing this on a busy, no passing 2 lane (one lane each way) road. No attempt to pull to the side. Even if their car broke down it’s illegal to leave it in the travel lanes. One was parked about 2 feet from the entrance of a little public park that has parking too. Do not understand people. 

Never under estimate the sheer power and magnitude of human laziness and stupidity Ringo. It will continue to confound and amaze you the rest of your life...and there is nothing you can do about it. You just have to sit back, watch, and enjoy the popcorn. If you are really, really lucky....there is the occasional "Hold Ma' Beer, Watch This" moment.

I guess I shouldn't expect more from people. I do do part-time software support so I should know better

Another GE Hold Ma' Beer - Watch This Moment.

Had a 10 acre forest fire less than a mile away from me yesterday. Thankfully there is a major interstate highway between me and it so created a little buffer for them to fight it comes my way. My parents live on the other side of the highway and the fire butted up to the back of their neighborhood, getting way too close to some homes so evacuations were issued for some. Luckily, not my parents. 
 

It’s 100% contained and mainly out but hot spots were popping up through the night.

 

Only “interesting” point of the day was seeing the sheriff’s Vietnam era Huey doing some water pickups in the lake of my neighborhood 

Glad to hear everythings OK for you guys.  Heard on the news it was around Miami area?

There's another in Miami that is cutting off access to Key West. Much larger than this one. We're in Naples, similar longitude but we're on the west coast (Gulf of America side) of the state and Miami is east coast (Atlantic side).

we have a total fire ban here and my brain dead neighbour lit a fire and both myself and our other neighbour had to go put out his fire that had jumped into the grass and was heading to our place !!!😡

Yeah, traded in my 2nd Accord for it, honestly was a right place at the right time sort of deal.

Car had 6400 miles on it, with my trade in I got it for $14.4K, couldn’t say no to that lol

I’ve uh, really mellowed out as well. My life and myself are significantly different from ten years ago lol

Also I still take a lot of pics of whatever I own because of course I do lol
