Time to start the really dirty stuff.

It was getting late and I do not like the compressor running past 10 pm so I called it quits. Tomorrow I will get some Scotch Brit pads for my air angle grinder to fully clean the gasket surfaces before masking for paint.

Kept working on the motor tonight.

I finished cleaning the block.

I also removed the oil pan and inspected it.

Removed the flywheel and the oil pump.

Other than that I could have taken a picture of the mess on the floor that I made when I rolled over the motor but that is not that interesting.

Mmmm... can't wait to see it with fresh paint. :rofl:

I know I need to post pictures but the new breather and valve covers came in today. I was all excited to get them. Hell I was not this excited on my wedding day (Frosty and Pro I will deny it) I opened the box and got 'Made in China' on my Edelbrock stuff. Is nothing sacred.
