The truck has been burning a little oil in the number 7 cylinder over the past couple years.  I found a deal on a couple low mileage Brodix heads, roller rockers and a Comp Cams camshaft.

Brodix heads huh? Something tells me that the truck's one wheel burn out is going to get a lot longer in the near future.

Knock Knock Knock go the rod bearings.

So are you going to plan a full rebuild -or- is that LS motor sitting under your workbench going to be called into action?

You know I'd hate to see those Brodix heads go to waste. Perhaps you might do something about those one-legged burnouts while the engine is out too.

2021 plans. LS engine with a 4L80e, new rear springs and a g80 for the 14 bolt.  91 Blazer tank.  I sold the Brodix heads for more than I paid for them this past weekend.

So what do you plan to do to the LS? Cam, heads, headers, forced induction?

Got plans for the truck? Pull a trailer? Pull a boat? Pull the boat right out from underneath the trailer?

Burnouts!

Honestly, I am just going to get it running with a mild tune from a tuner I met this summer.  He said bone stock the LQ4 should be good for about 380 hp to 400 hp.  I will drive it like that for a year or two before I figure out what I want for it.  Yes more burnouts.

Based on everything I've read, that seems reasonable so long as the cam and the rest of the rotating assembly has no inherent damage or wear issues.

What do you think you will do with the stock truck motor once the LS is installed? Save for a mild build up for something else? Sell it? Make a magnificent boat anchor out of it? Yard art like Wade?

Looks great dude! I love the Pontiac blue paint on the LS motor. Can't wait to see what else you get done!

Just one thing....."Chevrolet Garage"? Seriously? What have I told you about the "don't ask, don't tell" policy around here?
