The black and gray Formula Firebird is either a 1980 or 81 (don’t remember) because it has the optional Turbo 301. (pretty rare in the Formula). It is a very clean original car.
The silver 70 GTO is not a Judge, and is most definitely not stock, so I can’t speak as to when the black spoiler was added (or the Judge style stripes for that matter). Good eye Frosty!By 31pontiac ·

2026 Woodward Dream Cruise
I am not bringing a car or a truck though I will get a rental there for the week. I will accept a ride along with anybody that'll let me ride. And profusely thank them.
I thought the road would be closed to all vehicles except classics . . . . ???

Roadkill Nights 2026 - August 8, 2026 - Pontiac Michigan
I am good with a Friday meet up too. Joe told me that he got Friday off also. What time and where are we meeting is the question.
I assume we will stop at the Shrine of the Little Flower's elementary school parking lot for souveigns?By Frosty ·

2026 Woodward Dream Cruise
B52 - are you bringing a car to cruise Woodward with or did you want to ride along with one of us? Obviously any car can cruise Woodward since it is an open state highway. Just curious.

Goodrich (MI) Festival
Black Beauty and I went to a car show about 5 miles from my house, in the town of Goodrich Michigan. It was the town's annual weekend long summer festival, with the car show on Saturday. The weather was iffy, with rain in the forecast (it did spit on us twice but the it stopped and then stayed dry), so actual car turn out was lower than normal, just a little around 350 cars total (over 600 in good weather).
I was able to get my annual orange and black Woodward Dream Cruise sign at this show. So I don't need to do much more annual souvenir hunting, except perhaps a hat pin or a cool T-shirt, if they have one in my size. I already have the green and white 2026 I Cruised Woodward Avenue from Cruisin' Media at the POCI Convention.
Next car show for me is Roadkill Nights with Violet. That is next Saturday at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac.
Note the old Cragar caps used to cover up the boat's old waterline exhaust holes
I think this is my favorite 60s era Oldsmobile.
Split bumper 71 Vega and 71 Camaro - side by side - cool!
BB and a '87 Formula 350. He won the Best Cruiser award.
This car is called "Plain Jane"
This car is named "Betty White"
Matching '55 Nomad and coupe. Very cool.
You don't see many 455 powered Olds Tornados these days.

Once I get some mufflers on it it will be a weekend cruiser and possibly go to some car shows. The exhaust is straight pipes from the headers to turn downs and it's so loud it's getting too much attention. Police in our little town are pretty cool but this is pushing it a little. I might look at getting a retro AC for it but I'm not sure how that would work with the supercharger mounted where the AC compressor usually sits. As far as strip time goes, I'll probably just take it to a test and tune until they kick me out for no cage. I'd guess it would run mid 10s with a weight of 3,400 pounds and 700 horsepower but I won't know unless I get to the track.

2026 Das Awkscht Fescht
Thanks for sharing 31pontiac. Great show. I am especially liked the red rally striped GTO with the Indian head painted into the spoiler a very cool idea. Love the Safari. What year is the black/gray Formula Firebird? I don't think I have ever seen a 79-81 Formula before.
The silver 70 GTO Judge caught my attention for a moment. That it is because it has a black spoiler, not body color. Most folks aren't aware that in 1970 only, an obscure option, RPO code WT7, was only available on Polar White GTOs only. This rare no cost option would change the spoiler from white to black. Only 51 GTOs were made with this option. So a black spoiler on a non-white 1970 GTO is by owners preference, perhaps trying to recreate the WT7 option, but it is not correct.By Frosty ·

You make this Frosty?
No I didn't Ringo. Part of me wishes I did since I L-O-V-E the Roadmaster Estate Wagon. I would love to own an Estate Wagon but sentimental value lies in the sedan since it was my parent's last new car.
The Estate Wagon is the station wagon version of the top of the line, equivalent to the Limited edition in the sedan version. That means all the hard to find Limited interior parts I have to replace can only come from either a Limited sedan or an Estate Wagon Roadmaster. The lower versions of the Roadmaster or the from a Caprice/Impala SS interior trim pieces won't work. Both the Limited and Estate Wagon had the choice of leather or velour seats. Mine has the velour seats.By Frosty ·

Welcome to FP and the madness! Talk it up in the forums.
So this is more of a street/strip than a cruiser huh? So what are you plans for it?By Frosty ·
