mine was an indash dvd player and monitor. the thing about my mod was, it wasnt supposed to be for the G6 cuz there was no G6. it was for the Explorer. then i transferred over my subs to the G6.

My first mod beyond STOCK were the NEW SHOES.

The stock Dia tires just weren't cutting it anymore and we were showing less and Driving more.

So as time when on this necessitated more meat on all 4 corners.

Even doing so has not caused major deductions but worth it none the less.

But of course more meat lead too boxed arms, Frame stiffeners, Larger front sway, KYB shocks, Rear sway and last but not least a JGC quick ratio steering box biggrin.png

Probably two of the best you could do :P

The very first thing I do to a new vehicle is take it to my mechanic for a major tune up, which also includes draining out all oils and transmission fluids and replacing them with synthetics. Then I also have bearings repacked with synthetics. Then I go from there.

The first mod to my new '64 GTO was to add a set of Stewart Warner gauges under the dash.  I wasn't happy to have just idiot lights.  I got them installed within a week or two of picking up the car.

The day I got my drivers licsense back in 1977..the very first thing. I did when got out of sight of the house. Was to flip the air cleaner lid over on my 69 Buick Skylark 2 door hardtop. So it would sound like an old school cop car when I got in the gas..While on my way to buy a Kraco 8 track player. And some mind blower speakers (anyone remember those) So I could play my Ted Nugent Double Live Gonzo tape. While cruising Stratford rd....... Times have changed. Traffic there used to be almost gridlocked Friday and Saturday nights........
