WANTED- Steering Column for my 77 Phoenix. Preferably one with tilt.
I work out of state and lost my keys this morning. Wouldn't you know it, not a single locksmith open on the 4th of July for 50 miles. Worse came to worse and the Hotel I more less live at had a sawzall and I had to cut the key cylinder out inorder to get home.

This is why I carry a spare key or two - in my wallet.

Well why didn't he try to hot wire it, it is old enough not to have those fancy smart keys!!

Not to jump to conclusions but judging by the hack job done, I am hesitant to say so. This guy will live and learn though.

No way, could have easily hotwired it.Then broken the steering lock. The wires are nice and exposed on these if you look under the dash pas the column. Then he wouldn't need an entirely new column.

Exactly what i was thinking, now he is going to have to replace it if he can find a decent working one.

Luckily, he was at Wallmart.

Custom mod.... I dig it.

Havoc's remembering how much fun he had with his glovebox lock. Must be something about locks on dashboards that drives him more insane.

Of course, back in the day, a sawsall was how a lot of guys installed custom car radios too.
