Same thing happened to me earlier, except i was doing about 75, so I put the pedal down and passed them. It was funny seeing their 4 banger crossover trying to catch up to me. At the time I was still running my custom tune with reduced torque management. Fun times.

so my parents want a new deck. which means I get to do a chunk of work on it, in the hottest week of the year.

so this involves sinking postholes... no problem except the clay puts some odd vibrations in the handle of the posthole digger... shoulder swells up and pinches a nerve...

so we get one of those gas augers to dig the holes. It worked fine until it hit a rock about 2 feet down. by rock I mean softball sized chunk of granite. The poorly designed piece of shit bit on the rock and twisted the top around the auger. right into my bad knee that has suffered several injuries over the last 5 years.

By several injuries, I mean the same one aggravated over and over. I can barely walk up and down stairs now.

to top it off, I find out that we are between insurance companies/policies right now and have no coverage.

Rant 1:

So I applied for a job at the post office (19.27 an hr) did some tests online all turned out good. So they wanted me to take some more computer based test at the main post office. OK great I must be doing ok/good if they want me to go see them to do in person testing. So I schedule it and go down and take the test 4 sections on the computer. The first 3 I felt I did good but manybe not fast enouff but I thought being acurate was more impostant than speed. There were more questions in each section than I could get done in the alotted time. But like I said I did the best I could and felt good about the amout I got done acuratly. the last section was hard ass hell and kinda unresonable IMO but whatever did as good as I could but felt like I was geussing. So I get an email two days later with my results. 73.72 on the tests. I thought well thats not too bad not too great. so I read the whole email which was a little long winded and a 73.72 is a failing grade. Say what???!!!! now heres the even funniest part that grade disqualifies me for a year for appiling for that sapicific job. but I did not do so bad that I cant apply for othere positions and taking the tests. If I had done worse I would not be able ever to apply again. So whats the score that you get it A. pass to get a job and B. whats the failing grade to never be able to allpy again? the email doesent say. A very vauge and cut and dry way of telling someone IMO. SO HOW FRIGGEN SMART DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO GET A JOB AT THE POST OFFICE I applied for a monkey job lol!!!!!!! kinda a joke IMO...................

I cleaned my car yesterday cool but I knew my mom would be jelly if hers dident get done. No biggie I enjoy doing it. She was working yesterday and it was up to 95 out by the time she got home. So I thought I would do it this morning before it got too hot out. So I go out at 8:30ish. start washing it ect. I have the car all washed and dried off and started the rims. She comes out to go food shopping and he car is blocking my dads so I said can you just wait 5 or 10 min's. all I jave left to do is the pass dise rims and dry all 4 tires/rims??? Her "no I want to go now" im like hu what??? Im thinking to move the hose the 3 cars so she could take my dads car would take just as long as it would for me to just finish up. Im saying to myself WTF your welcome!!! So she was like fine whatever! she goes beack inside. So I finish up and go inside and tell them your allset. They came out and get in and as there shutting there doors Im like "your welcome!" My dad was like "I was just about to say thanks....... thanks" Im saying to myself what thru the closed door...WTF" sometines it just doesent pay to be a nice guy.......... . .. ... .. . . . . .

I know there are tests for each and every government job as well as the civil test (or whatever its called) but I've ran into people who couldn't tie their left shoe in government jobs. Like me staying at their house is actually helping them because I pay them rent, which is about the same as having my own place and they still give me the third degree that they're 100% helping me and not screwing me over. I think either my University or the loan companies I got my student loans from are selling my information because I've been getting a LOT of telemarketers and scammers calling my cell and it's all been about credit.

Anyway my next thought is I am currently dealing with my university with the start of my masters program, classes started last week and the 1 class I'm taking got cancelled on both days and so on wednesday I contact the tuition payment services and talk with them about what is going to happen and how I don't want to pay for a class if the class isn't going to happen. Let alone waste my time, leave an important meeting at work early, waste gas and put mileage on my car, all to find out a class is cancelled for that day (TWICE). So we talk and the lady agreed with me and said she'd contact some people to see what is going on, heard absolutely nothing back so I contacted them on Friday, got nowhere fast but guess when tuition was due? Friday... I'm livid now, oh and there were no emails or notifications that said tuition was due. I paid on Saturday but I'm going after them to pay for the late fee of a day, that they caused and it's $100 WTF! They are lucky I am not after them to pay for my gas, mileage on my car and time they wasted...

I seriously hate this school, last time I checked University should be about getting an education, not bullshitting your customers (aka students) into thinking they're getting one just so you can steal every penny they have to their name or put them over their head in debt.

My favorite part is that I emailed them back today and got a reply asking for my name or student ID number... Shouldn't you have, oh say a computer, that would tell you what school email address is associated to what student? Let alone I've been contacting them for the past week. Ughhh... I can't fuking stand my job. It's actually WORSE than where I used to be. First off, my manager is a fat sack of shit. Might as well get that out in the open. Fat fucktard can't even manage a shop properly. How? His people skills reflect that of a nine year old with Down's syndrome, and this douche rocket has to be a control freak about everything going on in the shop. When I first started there, it was bad. Douche kept pissing and moaning about how I worked, then would retort with smart assed comments I'd expect from someone the age of 15. I thought it was just me at first, but chatting with a few of the other guys in the shop, it's just how he is, and mainly because of his personal life. Yeah, quite the professionalism...your personal life sucks, so let's lash out at your employees that you don't like. Classy. We've had a few new guys come in, and same issue with them. My boss is just a miserable prick, hates changes, and only thinks of himself. Personally, I don't have a clue on why he isn't fired...nobody in the shop likes him at all...but they seem to just deal with it. The company seems to do the same.

To boot, I have no space to move up in the shop. My manager refuses to let me do more than basic work now. I'm not making money doing basic bullshit, I've told him MANY times I can do fluid flushes, brakes and shocks. His answer? "No, we have Brian for that," (the head tech) WTF? we fall behind in work, and he still refuses to let me help. Instead, he tells his assistant manager to do the work. He doesn't even make the commission off the work, yet...he wants him to do it. We're shorthanded, and he blatiently keeps work away from me.

Even with the hurricane from this weekend, he still opened shop on Saturday...when everything else around use was closed. To boot...THE SHOP WAS IN THE EVACUATION ZONE. I only stayed until 1pm, he flipped a shit about it. Soon after, the rest of the guys left. The manager kept saying, "We have to stay open until 5!" the other just laughed. One dude stayed, but he's pretty much the shop bitch. He has no family, friends or any social life to speak of, and his stupidity knows no bounds...no surprise in him staying.

I'm so fuking tired of this place, fuk Mavis, and fuk that fat piece of fuking trash.

Yup. The way things are, I've seen a few of my friends get snatched up by some dealerships. I know Kia, Nissan, Chevy and Ford always seem to hire out in Smithtown, a huge area for dealerships.

what do you want to do and what are you quilified to do? Also did you go to a tech school? Its hard to break in as a tech if you dident go to a tech school these days at dealers.

I did three years at BOCES for auto body, and auto tech. To boot, I've worked in eight different shops.

Yeah, I can do basic stuffs. Tires, oil changes, etc. Basic maintainence too, tune ups (plugs, wires, coil packs, distributors) flushes (coolant, brake and power steering) brakes, but I'm rough with drums. I need to renew my inspector's license. I've replaced water pumps, power steering pumps, hoses, belts and a few radiators too. I've done shocks, but never struts without help.
