I driove almost 9 hours total yesterday. Three hours to drive from Columbus to Indy, and then with construction delays, another six from Indy back home. So I am beat! I’m going to crash tonight and I’ll post the final day later this weekend.

Glad you had a safe trip.

Red Line Oil is one of the Power Tour sponsors and these are two of their vehicles. I ran with them from the Ohio state line until the outskirts of Indy. Who'd think an old Dodge Rampage with a mid-engine, fuel injected 392 Hemi would be that quick and nimble?

BB is parked for the final time. I got a great spot, right next to the road to the staging lanes and the exit road.

I made it again - I'm an official Long Hauler for this year's Power Tour! Three years in a row - twice with BB!

There is one last thing I need to do....

ET: 17.378 Seconds

R/T:  .221

MPH: 75.95

Black Beauty is a consistent low 17 second car. I'm happy with that.

Time to  head home - it took six hours instead of five because of construction and traffic around Indy - between the I-465 Loop and getting onto I-69. Once I got onto I-69, I only had to stop once for food and gas.

IMG_0864.thumb.JPG.e956d15530b2c8c723e4518da527abaa.JPGIMG_0865.thumb.JPG.ae08ab93641dd9c2997693418c81b9cd.JPGIMG_0866.thumb.JPG.4ee06b14f6b6e6a9ccf6cb52fa02bc36.JPGIMG_0869.thumb.JPG.d0e0cd52d77d9cc17d40422a78f0a993.JPG

Thus ends this year's Hot Rod Power Tour adventure. No idea where we will be next year, but I'm betting that since we've been moving north ward, I'm guessing we will be in the midwest somewhere, perhaps even Michigan.

I did learn that there will be a 5-day Power Tour West later this year. Dates and locations are TBD but that an announcement should be made in the next few weeks. I just hope it isn't in the middle of December again. I hate the idea of trying to drive across the Rockies at the start of winter. Vail Pass on I-70 with snow is not a lot of fun. Ask me how I know?
