Very nice numbers there Bear!

Thank you sir.   I need to go back for some more passes "one of these days" but I've been busy with other things.  Part of 'the deal' for me getting to finish the car was my bride wanted a house in the country.  We moved in May of this year. : :lol2:

It took me more than 20 years to build the GTO.   (Here's a link to the story, and my build photos)

That 11,86 was with the car in Drive and it upshifting at about 4900 rpm.  I didn't have a rev limiter on it at the time so I wasn't going to take any chances.  I think there might be more in it still (or was at the time, I've got some miles on the car now including the 2013 Power Tour so the motor isn't as fresh as it was then.)  My goal with it was to be able to dance just at or above the 11.49 roll bar rule.  I didn't want to have to cut it up to put an NHRA legal roll bar in it.

It's a driver, not a trailer queen show car.

I no longer have the time slip for my GTO as the last time I raced it was 1989. At that time all they gave was 1/4 mile ET and speed.  The car ran 10.80 at 129.31.  That's a 4-speed 428 with 4.33 gears, headers, a tri-power and a small nitrous system.  I've attached the slips for the Tempest.  It is a 505 with 4.10 gears and a Powerglide.  The dyno sheet is from 2012.  The engine was not broken in, and I had not installed the vacuum pump yet.
