Gas has dropped from $2.99 a gallon on the 4th of July to $2.56 last night. Go figure.

Just what are you saying here? The good folks at the oil companies wouldn't aritficially increase the price just for the holiday... :P

Certainly not the large oil companies themselves - that would be collusion and/or conspiriacy, but certainly the independent gas station owners and shady operators would.  ;)

Prices jumped up this afternoon from $2.56 to $2.69 since this morning. Heck's its not even jack-up-the-price-for-the-weekend Wednesday yet.

$2.36 for 87 octane this morning around here. But with Back to the Bricks festivities starting today and Woodward this weekend, I expect a 10-20 cent spike in gas prices for the weekend.

$2.64 for 87 octane. Gas Buddy says I can get it for as low as as $2.50 if I’m willing to drive a ways.

Cheapest is around $2.40 according to Gas Buddy. I need to fill up the G6 so I should get out there before it goes up any more for the 4th
