  1. I recall the build but I didn't remember them adding the SPRINT 6 emblem, I must have been yawning during that segment How dare they! I'm not interested if it doesn't come with the custom bike rack they made for it I guess the "New Owner" didn't want it resting too long in their garage http://www.rkmotorscharlotte.com/sales/inventory/sold/1970-Pontiac-GTO/134525#!/
  2. Don't know if this can be applied to your headlights but on my wife's old Volvo we had a similar recurring condition. I had enough and drilled 1/8" holes in the lowest corner of each case just under the leading edge, this allowed drainage and I never had an issue beyond that point.
  3. As much as I like that rig, Like my cars the Firetruck has to be a classic as well

Restored 19 years ago and still holding it's own!
  7. Excellent location for a show. We got wet & wild in 2002 at the POCI Convention, even with the inclement weather we had a great time. Driving out from Virginia Beach and up and over to Charleston was one of the main highlights. Gave the '66 a workout for sure, running through the gears in the mountains was a great experience. It's a place worth a visit for sure! After the long weekend we then drove across the high ground up and over to St Mary's County in Maryland to pick up my daughter. Man did my clutch leg get a workout
  8. Not my bag either but do respect some of the workmanship. I don't care to much for the run of mill throw a Chebby in it and call it done, I like to see Flat-heads, Olds-Rocket, Nail-heads & other engines used to complete the ratty theme. I saw my first OHC Powered rod sometime ago and was very impressed. Since then I have come across others. Some cool and well made and some just well...
  9. ANOTHER HARD TO COME BY OFFERING; http://www.ebay.com/itm/361026143931?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  10. This one doesn't show the 04+ models but is along the same line, This was given to me by Mr. Hollifield the owner of the 69 Royal RA V GTO while at the past GM nationals. Helped him with his display and he handed me this poster as Thanks, Real nice guy. This is more in-tune with your OP. http://www.gtoposter.com/
  11. Very hard to say as to how many are still out there. Remembering that Pontiac likely gave out hundreds of these. I would say contact Tim owner/operator of the Pontiac Museum. https://www.pontiacoaklandmuseum.org/
  12. Rather then re-posting the back story on our 1966 LeMANS below is the link to the feature written over at WILD ABOUT CARS; Enjoy!... http://wildaboutcarsonline.com/cgi-bin/pub9990327521141.cgi?itemid=9990411583040&action=viewad&categoryid=9970403904143&page=1&placeonpage=5&totaldisplayed=50
  13. PHS service may be a good idea, but highly suggest you call them first as I'm not sure they go back that far. Also came across this site while helping a local guy with a '29 last year. It offers a little bit; http://classiccardatabase.com/search.php?year=1930&make=Pontiac&submit=Search
  14. Welcome! AACA &/or POCI are your best bet for such a classic. http://www.aaca.org/ http://www.oaklandpontiacworldwide.com/ http://www.poci.org/ They are truly fading away and as you know seldom seen out and about. She looks real good, Why is it on EPAY? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pontiac-Other-4-Door-Sedan-1931-pontiac-6-sedan-show-vehicle-/201132703342?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2ed4717e6e&item=201132703342&pt=US_Cars_Trucks
  15. This years race brought the crew down the east coast and right into Norfolk/Portsmouth. My daughter & I went over with the '66 to welcome them at North Ferry Landing. What a sight to see such great cars being used for what they were intended for. I took a few pictures (sorry for the quality, I only had my phone with me) Enjoy! http://s412.photobucket.com/user/SPRINT-6/slideshow/GREAT%20RACE%202014
  16. We are back from our weekend trip north, went up to see some of GM's great old Iron. Even with the weather being a little off Saturday morning we all still had a great time. We were among some of Pontiac's Icons and took in all they had to offer. I took lots of photos and thought I would share with those who might not been able to attend. Sit back & Enjoy! http://s412.photobucket.com/user/SPRINT-6/slideshow/GM%20NATs
  17. You had to hear that thing, what a blast.
  18. The '55 was the well used real deal. I just wish there were more cars of that nature on hand. It that car could talk
  19. That's no replica, that's a WANNABE If you want to see one of the REAL DEALS head out to the GM Nationals in JUNE, http://www.carlisleevents.com/carlisle-events/carlisle-gm-nationals/carlisle-gm-nationals-detail.aspx?detailid=1022 it's shaping up to be a real good show. Lot's of PONTIAC
  20. With a very interesting winter past us now and show season underway. The local shows have started popping up on the events calenders so it's that time again. Hey Gang, it’s been awhile. Hope all is well. Thought I would bring over some eye candy from this past Shake Rattle & Roll show. This is an annual show that I have attended before so I got and my daughter and I said what the heck, besides I just wanted to get the old Pontiac out on the Highway. This is sort of a tribute to the old Suffolk Drag-way. Nothing like the East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame & Reunion and Show in Henderson NC but a nice local show held on Main Street Suffolk Virginia which has a quaint Mayberryesque charm. There was really only one true old time drag car on site which you will see highlighted in my slideshow, so Enjoy and remember PONTIAC, BUILT TO BE DRIVEN! http://s412.photobucket.com/user/SPRINT-6/slideshow/SHAKE%20RATTLE%20AND%20ROLL%20SHOW%202014
  21. Thanks for posting this; Good read! Our local Pontiac Club was started in 1986 and I joined in 1997 and help maintain it until our last gathering in 2006. Our sponsor was Roughton Pontiac one of the areas oldest dealerships. Bob Roughton was a fellow Pontiacer not just selling but collecting Pontiacs and one of the Rare ones is his 1909 Oakland. Pictured below in 2008 he has since found another. Sadly with each passing year we see less and less of the old iron at our shows. Even the Local AACA club/meet has opened up to newer models due to the increasing loss of members. Everytime I'm at an event I will always migrate immediately to the oldest Iron on site to examine it thoroughly. These cars are rolling art and I want to see as much as I can. So as Dennis Gage always says HONOR THOSE TIMELESS CLASSICS as you may never get to see something like this again. Cheers
  22. The show was held in the North end parking lot of the Hampton Coliseum. lower right of that picture [not shown] was the show field.
