  1. I guess I'm just getting to old. I hate to play in the snow so I just stay in
  2. Some of my Fellow Pontiacer's wanted to go for a drive so we headed down south to the VA/NC boarder to cruise along the Currituck Sound. Took a few pics to hopefuly ease the pain of anyone locked down waiting for the wammer weather. Enjoy!
  3. Here are a few vid’s I made while playing with a new GO PRO not the best but still had some fun. A little background: The Pontiac Overhead Cam 6 was one of many pet projects of John Delorean he always liked the European aspect of the motor world and this was a major influence with many of the projects during his time at Pontiac. Even the choice of naming the cars was driven by this passion, i.e. GRAND PRIX, TEMPEST, LEMANS, and GRAND TRURISMO OLMOLOGATO (GTO) With the OHC I guess they really wanted more than just the allure of a euro type engine but the sound as well. The OEM exhaust was set up to create the sports car sound and was all part of the Sports Package upgrade over the base 1bbl OHC engines. The Sprint/Sports exhaust used a 4” and/or 5” diameter 28” long muffler backed by a resonator and 2.25” pipe topped off with the chrome trumpet tip. The true tune/note is something that IMO what makes this engine complete. There are many who have added headers and other modifications to the OEM exhaust but loader isn’t better with this engine and nothing seems to sound as good as the stock set up. So it was my intension to try and capture this with the vid’s but I’m still working with the camera so I hope you enjoy my first attempts and I hope to get some improved Vid’s at the start of the 2012 season. http://s412.photobucket.com/albums/pp203/S...TESTDRIVE2a.mp4 http://s412.photobucket.com/albums/pp203/S...TESTDRIVE66.mp4 http://s412.photobucket.com/albums/pp203/S...TESTDRIVE2b.mp4
  4. Well not really, The 65 GTO is a survivor; it is in 99.9% of its factory paint. The 66 is in 16 year old paint. I hope the 66 holds up as long as the GOAT
  5. COOL, Thank you all who voted. It is an Honor to be recognized when among peers. Cheers!
  6. Frosty you are correct with the above list being a must meet of Pontiac insiders. I have been fortunate to have met and speak with Milt over the years in an attempt to get some detailed info on Royals OHC Baby Bobcat kit, but to no avail. Others I've meet and spoke with are John Sawruk (another great lost) he was amazing with his wealth of detail knowledge on the OHC. I did at least speak on the phone with Bill Knafel on several occasions but sadly never got to meet him in person. Ive always wanted to pick him on the 1966 Mystery Tornado OHC Pontiacs his team ran. Would have been some great stories for sure! Arnie is a good friend of my buddy and we have met up with him at several Pontiac events over the years. He is a good guy and loves to put on a show.
  7. This is a compilation of classic Pontiac Hood Ornaments, AKA; Many Faces of the Chief. Happy Thanksgiving & enjoy. http://s412.photobucket.com/albums/pp203/S...mview=slideshow
  8. Mac's passing was another great loss for we Pontiac enthusiast. I’m very much aware of his work with the OHC and cams. I have a copy of his 66 SAE report on the OHC and had hoped to meet and talk with him. Lost as well is my someday opportunity to meet John Z and Bill Knafel. Just not ment to be I guess. Some of my Pontiac/OHC heroes. Here is an old shot of Mac standing next to his 63 with the DOHC V8 still in the bay. Thanks Man!
  9. The collection of pictures are from several salvage yards and private hordes around Virginia. Sadly many of them are now gone, I’m just glad to have been able to do some picking at them.
  10. Junk Yarding http://foreverpontiac.com/index.php?showtopic=2960 Not as sharp as your pics but Enjoy.
  11. The following slide show is a collection of Pontiacs that my buddies and I have bought, sold, and/or parted over the last decade. Sadly “Yarding” as we like to call it has almost become a thing of the past The hunt was always half the fun! Enjoy the slides. http://s412.photobucket.com/albums/pp203/S...mview=slideshow
  12. WOW! Great shots! You made me think of a bunch of Yarding pics I have on file. I'll start a new post. Again, nice real nice. Thanks for sharing.
  13. They just keep reusing the original pics from the early/first attempt to cash in with this RARE Pontiac. I agree a little effort with some better and more detailed shots would help. But IMO so would adding it to the new Pontiac Oakland Museum collection. http://visitpontiac.org/webpages/index.php?art=961 Here are the first ad pics.. http://s412.photobucket.com/albums/pp203/S...mview=slideshow Sadly this car is in the WRONG hands; all the current owners are trying do is desperately cash in. Car sold for 215K (+-) at the BJ Scottsdale auction in 06. It came back for sale in 07 on epay of all places It hit just over 65K with a Buy It Now of 1.3mil. I saw it again listed in March of 2010 at one of RM's auctions. There it hit 325K but the greedy little turds where looking for 400/600K Right after that run it made it's way to Mecum in Aug of 2010, but I don't have any details on that attempt. And here we go again on epay. I again will say this car needs to be saved, before these YoYos screw it up somehow. OK venting over
  14. It's back up for round 3 or 4 or 5, I forget how many times it been offered. They just keep trying to cash in on a car that was bought for under $300K when it first sold @ BJ http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/?cmd=ViewIt...RK%3AMEWAX%3AIT I've said it before and will repeat it, I wish this Pontiac would somehow end up in the new Pontiac Oakland Museum.
  15. Hey Thanks for the welcomes! As my name says SPRINT 6 She dose have the SPRINT / SPORTS Package option. This is the 4bbl high comp OHC engine, The base OHC was a 1.75 bore and referred as a 1bbl. She came with a load of Factory & Dealer goodies and we have added to the list over the years... If you would like to see more of her stop in at my Domain Page. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/764053/1966-pontiac-lemans Cheers!
