  1. Cowboydanny, One option you might try is Rock Valley Antique Auto Parts. I have no experience with them, but they claim to have many patterns for vintage fuel tanks and can custom make them if needed. No idea on price, but I have a hard time thinking it would be $3000. Good Luck, 31pontiac
  2. Congrats !!! Great looking Bonneville !!
  3. I found the DeSoto dash at Hershey about 17 years ago (about 3 years after I started this project). I had been looking for gauges from a ‘50’s or ‘60’s vehicle to kind of keep in the 1960’s hot rod theme. Since that time I have looked at many cars and aftermarket gauges (Moon, Stewart-Warner, Classic, Autometer, etc.) and didn’t see anything I liked better. They fit my Pontiac dashboard well, have that period hot rod vibe, and are seldom used anymore.
  4. A few more items I’ve been working on, a cover for the fuse block, a stone guard to protect the steering universals, and cut holes to to install gauges.
  5. Can’t say about tube headers, but the factory Ram Air 3 long branch manifolds from 1969 Firebirds are also listed as to fit your Catalina. They are definitely a step up from your original manifolds. Ram Air Restoration and Ames has reproductions available. Ram Air Restoration also offers a 3” diameter set that looks like the originals, which I think are 2 1/4”.
  6. The Fall Hershey flea market held the first week of October has been cancelled for 2020. I haven’t missed this event since 1973. No decision has been made on the Saturday car show yet.
  7. Welcome! Early 2nd gens are my favorite Firebirds. Looks like you have a beauty!
  8. Installed a Lokar E-brake floor mounted handle and had to design and build a console for it.
  9. Unfortunately, the “42nd Annual GM on Display” has been cancelled for this year due to the pandemic. We are still hoping to have our Pontiac, Buick, Oldsmobile, and Cadillac show at Ebersole Buick-GMC, Lebanon, PA in September. I will post more details closer to the event.
  10. Cleaned up, painted, and reassembled the 1962 fullsize Pontiac rear brakes. Got to use some paint that has been sitting in the cabinet too long.
  11. As of now, this event has not been postponed. We are all hoping that the current state of affairs will be improved by then, but if the date does change or the show is canceled I will post it on here as soon as I know.
  12. Our first car ( my brother and I), 1940 Pontiac coupe, flathead 6, 3 on the tree.
  13. I’m planning to mount the fuse block under the passenger side seat, so my brother and I fabricated a box to hold it.
  14. Mounting the A/C unit behind the dashboard, trying to make it as inconspicuous as possible. Not a lot of room in these old cars.
  15. Had to find a home for the coil and of course the bracket had to be modified to fit the spot I had in mind. Also addressed the wire looms.
  16. Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Macungie Memorial Park, Rt. 100, Macungie, PA. Registration from 9 AM to 12 noon. All years GM produced vehicles are welcome.
  17. Congrats! Great looking car! Nice picture!!
  18. I got a car cover for the “59 Bonneville and this rolling tool box to help me organize (and find) my tools.
  19. Thank you all for this honor and thank you Ringo for this site we Pontiac true-believers get to hang out on.
  20. This is our 1959 Pontiac Bonneville Sport Coupe. It has power steering, power brakes, power windows, power bench seat, power antenna, Wonderbar radio, Tri-Power, and Foxcraft fenderskirts. The color is Castle Blue with a tri-color blue interior. We bought the car in 1977 and have had it 42 years this month.
