  1. Nice pics, great show with great weather! Thanks for sharing.
  2. You might try restorationspecialties.com. I have had good luck finding unique hardware for my 1931 Pontiac. If you don’t see it on their website give them a call, not everything is online or in their paper catalog. They also setup at Hershey.
  3. They get great reviews on the HAMB!
  4. That’s my wife. She sent the info to local GM brand clubs , local POCI chapters, and all POCI Specialty Chapters.
  5. Sunday, June 2nd, 2024 is the date of our annual GM on Display show at Macungie Memorial Park, Macungie,PA. It is also the 50th anniversary of our Keystone State Chapter, and we are hoping for increased attendance at the event in recognition of this milestone! All details are on the flier attached. Feel free to print it to send back registration, or any other reason.
  6. Overflow bottle installed and gauges with lighting in place. We experimented with color filters and LEDs for the gauges but decided that it didn’t look period appropriate so we stayed with the original incandescent bulbs. Also we (my son-in-law and I) installed an NOS 1955 Pontiac parking brake light and flasher. In the video, the blue/green ring to the left of the brake light is a 1961 Pontiac ignition switch that lights up as original. Details matter.😉 IMG_7328.mov
  7. Thanks guys!! It’s an honor to be selected for POTM. Always enjoy seeing the variety of great looking Pontiacs entered.
  8. Originally I was thinking red, but after seeing the pictures with blue and the red Indian I am leaning more toward that. It is reminiscent of the old Pontiac signs, red neon against a dark blue porcelain background. Just my 2 cents.
  9. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! (The first picture is what can happen when you have no garage space for your ‘69 Trans Am.)😖😖
  10. 1959 Bonneville Sport Coupe and 1931 Pontiac Model 401 Sport Coupe 428 Pontiac-powered hot rod.
  11. Update: The sign was from Fort Washington Buick Pontiac in Fort Washington, PA. The outlined head is a representation of George Washington, not Chief Pontiac. My buddy bought it and plans to have it restored to working condition.
  12. Thanks Frosty! The power of FP comes through again! I don’t know if the sign is for sale nor have I seen it. I was told that it’s neon with a few broken tubes and is approximately 6 feet wide. My friend is trying to buy it. Don’t know how successful he will be. If it becomes available I will let you know.
  13. I got a call from a friend asking if I knew anything about a dealership named Fort Pontiac. He saw a sign in a mechanic’s garage while he was delivering parts here in SE PA and was wondering if I had ever heard of them. I haven’t, but thought maybe someone on here might. I have searched online and have found nothing. Don’t even know if it was in Pennsylvania or somewhere else. Thanks in advance.
  14. Thought I would share this cool keyfob/ light our chapter gave out today to those attending our annual Christmas party. Whichever way you say it, Forever Pontiac or Pontiac Forever, the sentiment is the same ! ! !
  15. Nice additions! You Justa reinforced the statement that these cars are never truly finished. 👍
  16. Sad to report that the founder of POCI, Don Bougher, passed on the evening of Nov. 22, 2023. He played an important role in the history of our Pontiac hobby. Condolences to his family.
  17. Glad to hear from you again! Even a little progress is still progress!
  18. Many people on a HAMB like Wheelsmith in CA. His website does not show Pontiac Rally II wheels but he does custom work in addition to his standard offerings. You may need to supply a pair of wheels for parts for him to build yours. Might be worth looking into.
  19. Thankfully I got my chrome reverse wheels from Wheel Vintiques before Coker acquired them. I had custom backspacing done and they were good to work with ( 20+ years ago ). I have not heard too much good about them since Coker entered the picture.
  20. I didn’t think the battery area would be so complex with battery cables, main power switch and vent tubes. The smaller wires are preliminary and will be cleaned up. Battery cover was designed so there would be no sharp edges for anyone riding in the rumble seat since it occupies part of that floor space.
  21. I received the gauges from Williamsons Instruments after they rebuilt the speedometer and updated the others from 6 to 12 volts. My son-in-law wired them and we installed them in the car. Everything functions as they should. Still need to add lighting for the tach, ignition switch, and E-brake indicator.
  22. I was looking for a way to close and weatherproof the unused holes used to bolt the rear fenders to the body without welding them shut, in case someone in the future wants to put them on. Using my CAD system ( cardboard aided design ) I developed a pattern and cut 2 pieces out of heavy gauge sheet metal. My brother welded studs on the back of each curved strip to attach them to the body using the original holes. They will be painted body color so they will almost disappear.
  23. Fitzy, I retired from Knoll Inc. (now MillerKnoll) in May of 2020 after 47 years. I never minded going to work, but was looking forward to retirement, spending time working on my cars, attending shows and flea markets. Covid changed a lot of the public get togethers plus I started doing home improvement projects, some necessary, some by choice. All that said, I am still busy even though I am not working, getting the ‘31 finished is almost as much of a challenge as it was while I was going to work.
