Did you see the Dustoff is canceled? Bummin big time. Sins Of Steele the week before has been canceled to. Dang it, I've been lookin for a Torrent to replace the wife's Escape.
  5. Evil, wicked mean N nasty lookin.....I like it! Welcome to the site
  6. Lookin back, it's amazing how brand Loyal we were on everything. (and many of us still are) The win on Sunday = sales on Monday generation. From the Big 3 car manufacturers to every sticker/sponsor on our favorite racers. You can't say racing in any form without thinkin Valvoline, Penzzoil, Castrol, STP on the tip of your tongue as you walked into the auto parts store. But these were competing with your favorite/trusted gas stations, Mobil, Shell, Texaco, Exxon, Sinclair oil companys to name a few for your oil needs. Other than Mobil, where do the rest of the oil brands blend into the list? Did they not score high enough? Or simply too many to list? I was going to make a joke about not going through the BS of sending in a stool sample of my oil for analysis, but apparently Stewy does. " Very cool " if that's what your in to. At what point does average Joe say this is what I've always trusted and it's never let me down. As I said before Last Indian, where would we be without all the countless hours, testing, tuning and producing the highest quality products available, that you and many others have the knowledge and have worked to expose what is truly THE BEST. 40yrs ago an engine with 100,000 on it was junk. Today it's Justa well broken in, with 200,000 as the new bench mark. Salute
  7. Anybody get MAVTV? They have a show called All Out Racing. Must have spent the entire last year @ Lapeer. They also pull people from the audience to compete in INSTANT GREEN. Bet on who wins for cash. Pretty cool show. I've heard of Berlin, but have no idea where it's at.
  8. Welcome...did anyone mention we like pic's?
  9. Last Indian, you've explained this topic before and sorry but the technical words N phrases didn't stick. Comes down to common sense and as you said no matter what brand you run, it needs to be changed regular. Heat breakdown, blowby past the rings and valve seals on older engines contaminate and breakdown, age is a factor, and coolant leakage as well. It's thankz to guys like you we are where we are now, with these products and overall engine longevity. Todays oil's can't compare with the oil we were running in the 70's. But then you hear about synthetics that last years and many thousands of miles without needing to be changed. Sorry by I don't buy that, and selling at outragious prices per quart. When gas prices spiked in the late 00's the price on oil went up too. (JUSTA because) Gas came back down, but oil prices never did. WTF? Greed, lies. Be safe and stick to regular oil changes. But thankz for your input buddy.
  10. I'm with ya kiwi boni, don't know the TBN from the TAN. Justa always been a fan of Castrol. The Sunbird and GTO don't see 500 mi a year. I know oil breaks down with age, so usually change the oil every other year on the Hotrods, 3 to 3500 on the daily drivers. GM gets AC only filters and the trucks get Motorcraft.
  11. Welcome to the site, nice to meet another mitten member.
  12. Looks great , can't see any sand scratches.
  13. This would have been the 32nd. (I think) I have only missed 2 over all these years. Soooo bummed.
  14. WOW. Meguiars #7, Turtlewax chrome cleaner, Mothers mag (aluminum polish), Brillo (steel wool) for underside chrome and exhaust cleanup before polish, Windex, spray degreaser (spray on rag for engine cleanup/plug wires), Armor all (interior), 303 for exterior trim/tires and about 8hrs of arm workout for ISCA show ready on my Sunbird. 1/2 that time for GTO top to bottom. Daily drivers are cleaned but not detailed to the extent of the Bird or GTO.
  15. Welcome to Forever Pontiac. Soooo sorry about the luck you have had. Glad you and your family are OK. Could have been much worse. Keep us up on your progress in finding a new Pontiac.
  16. Ok look at some of this. You would know what might be close. The chart should be helpful. https://www.google.de/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.faxonautoliterature.com%2F1964-Pontiac-Body-Molding-and-Clips-Parts-Catalog-Reprint-P25504.aspx&psig=AOvVaw0ukcg3tlco5DNFLTE5UJEc&ust=1586879045382000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=2ahUKEwjIrNef3-XoAhVE66wKHTDCBxAQr4kDegUIARD5Aw https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dck-267?seid=srese1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwm9D0BRCMARIsAIfvfIbieBcjH6LJcK-4LkBGrqq859pBm0CyeBmIAyBMn_n0YOE-T_yr1ZMaAiGAEALw_wcB
  17. Must be something they all do. Can't wait for them to clean it......inside or out. Worst is the ever growing pile of drive through napkins. Glovebox, armrest.....good nite!
  18. That's purdy. Thankz for sharing your progress.
  19. Don't see that color much. Nice ride, welcome to the site.
  20. Here ya go... https://www.opgi.com/bonneville/1964/fasteners-hardware/exterior-clips-screws/ See now I was beatin to the link.
  21. I like the changes...... BUT, they never moved the lights from the top of the fenders. Always a huge buzzkill. Need to be at the bottom or JUSTA complete delete. I'd take it to a carshow.
