Son of the Monster Mash 2009. The judging was uber lame. They picked a bone stock 97 Caddy Eldorado and 03 Chevy Monte Carlo SS over mine. I think age had something to do with it, both of those cars had owners in the +50 age range. GHHEEEEY. Anyway, a few pics. I rocked those LED tails for the show.

Agreed some car shows are just rigged, I've seen people win that shouldn't of even been in the show. I haven't entered the 6 in some but a friend wanted me to enter my '95 Monte Carlo in one so I did and laughed how many people were in love with it, considering it was bone stock but its still in near perfect condition (for 15 year old car).

same thing happened to me. a stock gto beat my vibe with all the stuff i have done to it. its all a bunch of hunky crap. oh well.. when you show your car, you will always have something like that happen unless its like HIN or something. (HIN is actually going a different route this year bcuz of new owners)

The Trophy was for the same show, 08. I took 3rd in my class.

Looks really good! I enjoy the carshows that at least attempt to act like they are scoring your car, but yeah, a majority of shows are rigged, you pay to get in for charity events, or at least the shows I go to I do, and just enjoy letting everyone admire your car

Yeah, 08's show I did great. But I have a feeling the judges were buddy buddy with the class winners in my class. I mean, WTF, a bone stock 97 Cadillac Eldorado, and an 04 Chevy Monte Carlo beat me. Bothof the owners had to be +50 years of age though...

As the judge was going over mine, and Lizzy's GA, we both brought the numerous things that were done to it, Lizzy even had a framed list of mods, but all the judge said was, "It's still considered stock,"

I wanted to smack the guy. You take one good look at our GA's, and "stock" isn't what comes to mind. Old bastard.

It was a shame too, I had a blast last year, and now I got the short end of the lame judging stick.

My car falls under such an odd ball catagory. If I'm thrown in with Domestics, I'm overshadowed by Mustangs, Camaros, Chargers etc, or I'm tossed in with imports, and my GA isn't noticed because it's not outragous with a body kit or something of the sort. I can't win.

That's strange, the carshows I attend sort by Domestic, Import, Lowrider, Offroad, Truck, Classic and each one is sorted by 2 or 4 door, that way you don't have that problem...
