After a discussion with Sal Sr last night...he asked me to be apart of Unknown Motorsports once more.

NOW:

The group has a rather different lineup of people. Most that were in the crew when I originally came aboard are now gone. The group itself feels like...well...a car club. After the show at Flowerfield last week, Sr really wants me back in. He's been recruiting new people, and the meets are decently big, but no BS like last year.

My car will be tagged again, but nothing lime green. Main members have to run the windshield banner (not too crazy about it) BUT, I've found a way to run it...and not have it stick out like a sore thumb. I'm getting the banner and two decals in flat black. You'll only see it when light hits it at a certain angle. So I can keep my low key clean look, and still have the name.

The past has been forgotten between myself and Sr, and I'm rather happy about it. Riding solo to shows is just odd. :P

The fact that he apologized to me for his actions, surprised me. To boot...this is my best friend's family. I really didn't want to turn my back on them (Denise and becky REALLY missed me) I know what he did was screwed up, but we confronted each other, had a long talk during the winter (2 hour conversation) and we made peace. I mean...the guy's only son was killed in a hit and run car accident.

Main reason why Sr is interested in me being back:

Running the Club. Sr has enough to deal with on his own time, and he's slowly finding members to run the club without his constant supervision. Basically, organize events, meets, going to shows and such.

Their website is now legitimate looking, and people are showing interest unlike last year. You can take a look for yourself on their page:

www.unknownmotorsports.com

i dont know anything about whats goin on with you or this group but is it only in new york. I went to the site and checked it out. What are they about?

Ahhhh, fvck it brah, just do it man. You live, die, rot in the ground then are forgotten. If shit gets fvcked up like a retard in a spelling bee then audi. You want to do it else there wouldn't be a post about it on forever pontiac. Blow it up, CW.

Sal Jr started Unknown Motorsports back in early June 2010. His good friend Phil accompanied him, and a few locals joined up. At this time...I was still apart of a club called "New Image Inc", and Sal Jr recently quit. It's a long story on why he left...short story, he ran the LI chapter with his g/f Stacy. But friction between the two caused issues, Jr got fed up, and quit. I still kept in touch with him, despite Stacy telling me to leave him be. I got both sides of the story, and the bottom line was they didn't agree on a lot of the decisions going on, and the fact that they were dating made it worse. Stacy was mainly the one wanting control.

Jr starts Unknown, and when July rolls around, he starts rolling with New Image again. Stacy and Jr were not together anymore, tension was very minimal. Jr managed Unknown with Phil, and still took the time to help out New Image's LI Chapter.

And just when things were looking up...his horrific car accident happened. The night before his passing, myself, Jr, Stacy and my friend Chris Fleming all went into Manhattan in Jr's xA to see a New Image member, Crystal, who was in the hospital because her pitbull attacked her. We spent the rest of the afternoon and evening together that day, even stopped by LI's only Arby's restaurant for dinner. When we all arrived back at Stacy's (our cars were all there) we all said goodbye and went our separate ways home. But I never actually said goodbye to Jr...I just saw him throw the deuces, and roll back out of the driveway, and drive off into the night. That was the last time I saw him alive...

****************************************

After Jr passed away...Unknown's membership grew quite a bit. Another club Jr was apart of, and myself included, Team631, split up. Most of the members followed Phil (ex-Team631 main member) into Unknown right off the bat. At this time, I was still with New Image...but things got sketchy fast. Stacy left, and all of the LI members followed suit. This is when Sal Sr and Denise got involved with Unknown, since...their son did create the club after all. Sr recruited all of us ex-New Image members. The events leading to my path away from the club have already been discussed.

Nope, wouldn't join. Once you leave, you have left.

Maybe so, but aside from three familar faces...Unknown isn't the same as I left it.

To boot, the fact that he wants me to help run the club later on...what have I got to lose? My life has been dull since November.

I say go for it. It doesn't seem as though you have anything to lose. Worst case it goes to crap and you bail. I'm in a sort of similar situation with my former car club. They even dissolved due to issues with the community, and are now looking at reforming. When I was asked back I said sure, so long as we didn't repeat previous mistakes.

Exactly. They know if shit gets nuts, I WILL NOT hesitate to leave, and they know that because of last time. Jr's family really wanted me back in the picture.

It sounds more like you already know the answer. You're just seeing what everyone else has to say about it.

Mark said it Chris you know what you want, go for it dude. also i wish there was a club where i live, nobody does anything except drink and do drugs (not me (anymore). the only thing i do is work, take care of my family, and Jam with by (band (still needing members).

Go for it dude.

ill tell you one thing. my car club runs off of friendship and partnership. if thats one thing you see in this club, then its a keeper. trust me on this. I have ran a car club for over 7 years now. a name of a club is just the image but the true club is formed of the friends that share the same interests and hobbies.

you know what you want and if you like what you see, go for it man. don't let anyone tell you no or yes because it is your decision. your an adult.
