4300K is more like a factory output.

I like a blueish hue to the lights. I see great with mine.

6000K + yellow fogs = tits.

True story... ^^

I have to find some 3000k's for my fogs...

No way chris. 4300k is FAR from stock.

It's the purest white light with the least bit of color.

Plus non projector housings with more than 4500k is *cough*rice*cough*.

^ Just depends on one's deff of rice... IMO 8000K and above = ricey....

3100K is the output of a typical halogen. I meant to say 4300K is your typical factory HID output.

Projectors on my car? Fuck that noise. Until they make something that isn't god awful looking, no such atrocities will approach my GA.

I would rather have my HID's in projector housings than in regular. The light scatters way to much for me.

Its the reason i got the projectors was just for HID's.

I never really planned on getting HIDs at first, but a great deal fell onto my lap and I took 'em.

I hate the stock colors. I think 6000K are the best HID color. I had those and they were HOT! :)

Pete how are they looking? lol

:lol2:

hey jedi..fix ur damn pic so ur POTM can be displayed..

thanks for the reminder.

I had 4.3k in my 6 for awhile and got bored of it being void of any color at all so I got 6k bulbs and like the color alot. Solstice has a 4.3k Bi-Xeon kit but they actually have some color to them. The funny thing is that the bmw I got has projectors already where it is a 9 year old car already.

Europe. SCREW YOU! lol

That's because BMW invented the projector, they held the patent for 7 years.

Not true. Nissan also came out with it, back in the late 80's, with the S13 Nissan Silvia. 88-89 models were the first Japanese company to be mass produced with projectors. As for BMW's patent, I don't think it's true, since there were some cars that came out in the early 90's with factory projector housings.

Thanks Wikipedia

Projector (polyellipsoidal) lamps

Projector headlamps on an Acura RL

In this system a filament is located at one focus of an ellipsoidal reflector and has a condenser lens at the front of the lamp. A shade is located at the image plane, between the reflector and lens, and the projection of the top edge of this shade provides the low-beam cutoff. The shape of the shade edge, and its exact position in the optical system, determines the shape and sharpness of the cutoff. The shade may have a solenoid actuated pivot to provide both low and high beam — the shade is removed from the light path to create high beam, and placed in the light path to create low beam, and such optics are known as BiXenon or BiHalogen projectors, depending on the light source used. If there is no such arrangement, the cutoff shade is fixed in the light path, in which case separate high-beam lamps are required. The condenser lens may have slight fresnel rings or other surface treatments to reduce cutoff sharpness. Recent condenser lenses incorporate optical features specifically designed to direct some light upward towards the locations of retroreflective overhead road signs.

Hella introduced ellipsoidal optics for acetylene headlamps in 1911, but following the electrification of vehicle lighting, this optical technique wasn't used for many decades. The first modern polyellipsoidal (projector) automotive lamp was the Super-Lite, an auxiliary headlamp produced in a joint venture between Chrysler Corporation and Sylvania and optionally installed in 1969 and 1970 full-size Dodge automobiles. It used an 85 watt transverse-filament tungsten-halogen bulb and was intended as a mid-beam, to extend the reach of the low beams during turnpike travel when low beams alone were inadequate but high beams would produce excessive glare.

Projector main headlamps first appeared in 1981 on the Audi Quartz, the Quattro-based concept car designed by Pininfarina for Geneva Auto Salon.[citation needed] Developed more or less simultaneously in Germany by Hella and Bosch and in France by Cibié, the projector low beam permitted accurate beam focus and a much smaller-diameter optical package, though a much deeper one, for any given beam output. The version of the 1986 BMW 7 Series sold outside North America was the first volume-production auto to use polyellipsoidal low beam headlamps.

Shit man...

I don't know why, I've just had this lonely/depressed feeling all day. I'm way past over my ex, despite the lying, cheating whore she turned out to be...goddamnit. Rant incoming.

As some of you who are apart of my FB, you've probably noticed that girl, Crystal be in and out of a relationship with me last month. Granted we only dated for about 2 months, in that time she managed to dangle a job with false hopes in front of me, got me unemployed for three weeks, lied to me about a pregnacy, all while cheating on me behind my back with HER ex. Isn't that great. And to boot, the lying bitch had connections to fake a blood test to make me believe she was pregnant. So for the "abortion" she wanted, I thought I was going to help and provide funds, all to which only were blown off ($250) on random dumb shit. After that, we just drifted off and stopped talking to each other.

Soooo...how did I find this all out? I remember her saying she lost her iPod touch. Guess what? It was in my car. What's the signifigance of this? She had the Facebook app, logged into her profile still. When I got into a wifi spot, I saw four new messages pop up for FB, so durdur, I check it out. And that's when everything unraveled. She played me like a goddamn fool. There was a lot of messages between her and her ex. A LOT. Pretty much the whole time, they were fucking behind my back. It just made my blood boil. All those times I lent her money, driving her places...good lord. And when I gave her money towards the "abortion", she couldn't get over how funny it was getting money out of me. Saying she gets what she wants, when she wants.

I found out all this a week ago, and I've just been keeping it away, but today it just kinda smacked me real hard in the face. I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror, I felt ashamed, used. I thought I was better than to be tricked into some petty shit like this. I really don't know how I'll trust another girl now. I've had a few bad break ups, and annoying g/f's...but nothing like this.

Sorry, but I just needed to rant. Goddamnit...

Oh man sorry to hear that it was that way. I really don't know what to tell you other than get back on the horse and find another girl, one who will like you for you not these stupid gold digger cunts (excuse my language). Best thing to do is to move on forget about her and just learn from your mistakes the best you can in this type of situation.

You know the old saying "There's other fish in the sea"? Well take it from me there IS :D Just gotta go out and find her and stop feeling bad for yourself ;)

dude chris that sucks man. what a bitch. I know how you feel alittle cause my EX cheated on my and How did I found out. the stupid ass was all over her other bf on myspace
