Ok people, here are a heap of pics of how Life has been on the Sunshine Coast recently.
The includes a couple of Friday Night Nambour mets, a couple of local cruises, some family shots, and quite a few from the Just 8s and Mates Inaugural Australia Day Cruze.

It has been a pretty special time for us, as our daughter has recently returned from London (she's been in Europe and the UK for the last 10 months), and our son has come in from interstate to stay for a short while. Very rare to get us all together these days🥰

I should mention that among these pics is one photo of my speedo - I have officially driven 10,000 miles since the rebuild. As everyone else has had, plenty of blood (literally!) and and tears (if I'm honest) to get here.

So here goes, in no fixed order - hope you like🤙

Lotsa memories there. All those old Australian cars that were throwaways are now cherished.

If only we knew. I would have kept my XA Falcon coupe, EH, HG ute, FC, SS ute, all my Fairlanes and my Karmann Ghia, Land Rover, all my Beetles & Kombi, my Supra, FJ55 LandCruiser and TA22 Celica. Dammit- next time, I'll know.

Very cool Paul  My fav is the station wagon version of my 59 Plymouth !!!
but then I do fancy the Torana oh and the matching Monaro 😜😜😜😜

you certainly had a great Xmas break ! And did many many cool miles 👍

Great pics. I love the Super Roo logo. That makes total sense to me. I've never seen it before but I totally dig it.

Hmmmm ... I am No Prude, but I see the people in the pics are showing their IQs. How appropriate showing off the finger. But, whatever.

The Super Roo logo was obviously for the home market and so made perfect sense. Everyone loved it when it came out and it has now become an automotive icon. We loved our V8s as much as anyone else but were forced to pay a hefty premium if you really wanted one, which was totally unwarranted.

Well LawMan62, if you aren't a prude maybe you wouldn't have mentioned it 🤷‍♂️

The "people" to whom you refer is my daughter...

Have a nice day 🤙

Flipping others off is Rude, and I am not a prude, I just have some Morals!

Alrighty y'all, let's chill. I think we all can agree that the use of the finger in the photo was used ironically, I don't think they are trying to use that directed at each of us.

Not my cup of tea but to each their own. Let's leave it at that and move on.

Hey mate,
Thanks for that 😊
The Super Roo is on a Ford GT Falcon, but there's probably others on here more qualified than me to give you the history of how it came about?
Maybe @Fitzy can jump in here?

Here's some info I just looked up...

SUPEROO COUPE - Ford Australia's XT Falcon GT Coupe Concept

'When the original Monaro was selling its tits off, Ford had nothing but four-doors, so it conjured up a two-door Superoo Falcon GT and teased the public with it at the 1969 Melbourne Motor Show.

It was built by newly-arrived Ford Motorsport boss, Al Turner, who based it on an American Falcon two-door coupe styled to look like an XT Falcon GT. It had 351 Windsor V8 mumbo under the bonnet, a shaker hood scoop, a boot-mounted rear wing, and XW GT stripes down the sides, complete with Superoo stickers.

The 351 Windsor came in the XW GT later in 1969, the shaker and rear wing saw the light of day in the XY GT in 1971, but sadly the coupe didn’t make the cut for production...'

So if I understand this - then the Superroo decal never saw production then? There were no actual Superroo models produced? Just a concept that obviously was very popular?
