Time to gear up for November Pontiac of the Month! Got a spooky themed photo for Halloween this month?

To nominate your or another user's Pontiac, please read the rules below:

Rules:

  1. You may nominate your own Pontiac or another member's Pontiac from Forever Pontiac.
    • If you do nominate your own Pontiac, please be sure that you've added it to our Garage or your entry will not be accepted.
  2. In your nomination/entry you must include:
    • Display Name of the user you're nominating (if not yourself)
    • A picture of your Pontiac (only 1 photo)
    • The year and model of your Pontiac
    • Any other facts about your Pontiac you wish the voting public to know. Such as modifications, restorations, etc..
  3. Only ONE entry per user.
  4. Please do not submit any one user’s vehicle more than once.
  5. This is a friendly and honest competition. You will be disqualified from POTM if you are found registering (or enlisting individuals to register) multiple times once we are in voting. (NOTE: that is multiple times for one individual. Inviting one user to vote one time is fine.)

Nominations will run through November 23rd and voting will start on November 24th.

To enter your Pontiac or nominate someone else's, just reply to this topic (click the red "Reply to this topic" button above this post or scroll to the bottom and click into the "Reply to this topic" text area)

If you submit your nomination outside this topic, it will not be counted towards POTM.

This car is a pre-production mule that was then used to fill a special order for the Chicago Pontiac Zone Office and then displayed at the Fall 1965 Detroit New Car Auto Show.  Next it was sold to a female school teacher who had fallen in love with the color.  She brought it back to the service department the next day - complaining that the car was noisy.  Their response?  Sorry Mam - but you bought a GTO.  She drove it sparingly - then willed it to her nephew who left it in the garage covered.  When muscle car values started to rise - the nephew sold it to a collector who did a complete body off restoration.  This car is featured in Thomas DeMauro's book "Collector's Originality Guide GTO's 1964-1974".  Today, with just 33K miles, it still wears it's original vinyl top.
