The Unoffical Woodward Dream Cruise -2020

Thanks to COVID-19, the Woodward Dream Cruise's official events were cancelled this year. That didn't prevent folks from cruising it though. Woodward Avenue is technically a state highway in Michigan (M-1). So many of us diehards cruised it anyway.

I met up with JUSTA6, his wife, his daughter JUSTAG6, and her boyfriend. Indyman Joe had to work and sadly, Notallthere and his wife are still stuck in Canada since the border is closed.

Let the cruising begin. We are on the soud boud loop in downtown Pontiac. Next thing I know, the car is surrounded in burn out smoke!

We stiopped real quickly at the Pontiac Transportation Museum to get a shot of JUSTA's car in front of the sign! Then back out onto Woodward!

The picture doesn't to the car above the door justice. The wheels roll and are very skewed!

Heading north - we are near 12 mile and the steeple is the Catholic Churth - Shrine of the Lttle Flower. Back in the 60s it was the richest catholic partish in the U.S.

JUSTA and I stopped in to visit with the Michigan WIdetrackers. There we stopped to see RevereGTO and his wife, whom we passed while cruising Woodward.

This year we paused to take a group photo. Since Indyman Joe and Notallthere couldn't be with us, we are in "missing man formation". Due to COVID-19, we are doing the responsible thing and we put our masks on.

L-R JUSTAG6, FROSTY, and JUSTA6.

I got my sounvenir from every cruise I've done. My buddy Joe sells these signs. They are heavy gage steel signs.  Plus I got this rather novel T-shirt from him too.

It was not a bad turn out for the Widetrackers given the ‘unofficial’ nature of things this year.

Lets hope we kick COVID’s ass next year and enjoy life again!

such a cool car, it had one big let down, the electric seats took forever to move forward to let passengers into the rear seat😏

Huh, I learned something today. Thanks for sharing that tidbit Kiwi. I didn't know that about the Monaro.

Let's face it, the rear seats on this cars qualified as a birth control device. So why should getting in and out be easy?
