  1. All of you, very beautiful rides. You all get a first in my cranium!!!
  2. Does anyone know anything about the trans in these cars good bad and ugly.
  3. Yes nothing like muscle!! I would love a gxp but couldn't afford the gas for a DD car. I drive an hour every day for work.
  4. I personally would keep the pontiac over either one of those, but if you must sell a beautiful ride like that (and later wish you hadn't) go with the Subaru. Much better vehicles, and alot of mods.
  5. Well ive always wanted bonnie, i like the fact that it is roomy and powerful, but the gtp is sportier looking. The only diff between the two that i have found is the bonnie has more room and better suspension. I don't know details of the trans in either one. Which one is better, what problems if any, or if like the motor they are identical.
  6. Both are 3.8l v6 supercharged. The gxp is a northstar v8
  7. Ok so im looking for a new car and it has come down to 03 to 04 bonnie ssei or gp gtp. I want to start with a decent amount of power and add to it. But i also have 3 kids, and we do like to travel, to see concerts and what not. I am torn between these two and it is driving me nuts. Any info or suggestions, or what have you would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Welcome, sweet looking ride, nice to get some more WOP!
  9. Thanks chaos i was thinking about the lx9, would i have to put a new computer in if i do that or can i just flash the one i have, what would be better?
  10. I put new headlamp assmebleys on, i went with "stock" replacements because i believe they still look hot. I also have new adjustable fog lamp assembleys to put on just havent had the time. I put in a CAI and have noticed quite a bit of difference in power and less fuel consumption. I just had my car in the shop, some of you may remember my topic on blue smoke, we found the problem, the valve guides are bad, so as soon as i can get my hands on another pontiac she will be put in my garage and i will either swap the engines or do a complete rebuild. Not sure yet.
  11. Ok guys thanks for the input, she will get checked Friday.
  12. Well for the past couple of weeks i have been having alot of blue smoke coming from my exhaust. The oil is fresh with new filter, my cat is only a year old. She is going in on Friday so they can make sure i have proper pressure. I just put a new pcv valve in last night and it didn't seem to smoke nearly as much. But I'm old i may have a sticky rig, and if that's the case it will cost me 3800$ for them to do a complete rebuild. It could also be my upper intake manifold. What do you guys think? Its my 98 GA. I don't want to get rid of her, especially with how much money i have in it. That and sentimental value.
  13. Lets see the star homey, welcome to the site.
  14. What kind of inter mods have you done to it from the pics i can see after market gauges?
  15. I look at it this way, if he is going to do the resto on it and work and pay for it fine, but as soon as it just sits there collecting dust YOU have a truck!
  16. That will be sweet. We don't have any of those around where i live.
  17. Looked cool but none of us will ever be able to afford something like that
  18. I did thanks i got new kicker 4x6s for my ga doors and a new in dash. Cant wait to start installing it once the rain stops!
  19. Nice dude, can't wait to hear it purr man.
  20. Awesome its nice to know people are restoring grand and, I thought I might have been the only one. Welcome
  21. im just trying to help this guy find the part, i asked him about just taking it to a shop but he was kind of leaning towards a new one. If it was mine i would take it to a shop, but its not. thanks frosty for the site. i will try and see if he just wants to take it to a shop first.
